Release it under the GPL, you should be right![]()
I have a quite stable version of a new graphics app. that I'd
like to release.
here's a screenshot of the dangee avatar in action:
before I click the "RELEASE" button, I'd like to get any views
about any licence/copyright/trademark issues involved in using Sony
EBOOT.PBP format, and any general advice about releasing homebrew
is also very welcome.
Release it under the GPL, you should be right![]()
Thx, wally. As you've already released some homebrew EBOOTs,
I'm sure that's reliable advice.
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl.txt must be what you
mean.I got as far as the philosophy of "why_not_the_ lesser gpl"
before any of it made sense - so who'd pay a lawyer to argue
the point, with the restrictive trade practice counterclaim to
consider.I guess that's what all those Microsoft lawsuits were testing.
maybe just the GNU-URL link above will do.
yeah all you need is that text document and make sure you follow all requirements from the GPL. I haven't really released much, more or less just porting GPL programs over.
Looks like a cool addition to the community, make sure to give us a link when you've got everything set up to release.![]()
Encouraged,The philosophy of 'why_not_the etc', made me choose a
lesser GPL variant, cut & pasted from a luaPlayer .16 cools distribution.
Now just the licensed downloads to upload, zip & link.
should be straightforward...
