Will homebrew work on my friends Korean PSP??

I have posted help with downgraded other psp's before but this one's different. My friend is leaving soon and his psp is a Korean one (Phat). So, i was going to use Despertar del cementario and install 3.90m33-2 after. So, i dont want it to be stuck on Formating Flash 1 and he has a brick.

Its only korean cos thats the firmware it has on, use despertar and when you reboot the psp select korean as the language and your sorted if he is not korean choose the language he needs.
