Default Memory Stick Cannot Be Read

The orange MS LED on the psp keeps blinking orange back and forth. It just won't read it. Its a real MS if that helps... What do I do?

What firmware do you have? Does the memory stick read on a PC via a reader?

Have you tried any other other sticks in your psp (just for trial and error), Also you could try cleaning the contacts on the ms with a pencil eraser just do it gently though

I have a similar problem with my old 1 gig. It is real all I do though is just take it out and put it back in until it recognizes it. It's usually the PSP is struggling to read it if one of the connectors on the card is damaged, scratched or out of line.

I can't, its a year old. I don't want to lose all my memory. 2 movies, 200 megs of music, 10 game saves, bunch of homebrew... I lost my old memory card. It was in a shirt pocket and I was flinging it around. Hehehe.
