I've heard this doesn't affect the Zelda exploit.

Nintendo unleashed a Wii firmware update on our region while we slept.
It put its hands inside the machine and tidied up bits and pieces we are never likely to see. This, according to Nintendo, should improve system performance.
The update brings us to firmware version 3.2, which sounds quite respectable and probably is well presented.
If you spot the update doing any other exciting things, let us know. Elsewhere, today is Tuesday and it is sunny in Brighton. Also, Tom has a bad foot.
I've heard this doesn't affect the Zelda exploit.
I can confirm this, because Wraggster posted it less than two hours ago.
I don't get it , were not entirely sure if this affects the zelda exploit nor do i see any point in upgrading cept a very "vague" system performance improvement i've been thinking maybe in this update ninty put a switch in the firmware so when they actually bring out the update that kills the exploit maybe they can auto update your console without asking you? any thoughts anyone? think about it ninty learns from sonys mistakes, ninty brings out auto updating and eliminates all exploits as they are found? comments anyone
Autoupdate^^ omg, you have to turn WIFI off then and wait till a homebrew "Autoupdate-Blocker" is released^^ I hope there will be custom firmwares and channels!!! Maybe it will be possible to run .elfs as channels? Channels look like they are just kind of shortcuts, like on a Windows-Desktop...
Given that the Wii seems to do a pretty secure reset when launching and leaving disc based games, it might not be possible to patch it without alterering the game itself.
who knows putting channels in the menu might be as easy as putting the file in the Correct named folder who knows
