Default Latest FW that still allows homebrew?

I've been out of the scene for a while now, haven't upgraded my firmware since 3.04 OE. I've got some new games though that need at least 3.71 and I'm wondering what I can upgrade to and still be able to run homebrew or emulation....

    Thanks!

Just update to 3.80 M33 with the 1.50 patch. Phat PSP owners can't use Skype (So 3.90 M33 is useless) and with the 1.50 patch you can still use the old 1.50 homebrew.

You can upgrade to 3.71M33-4 then install the 1.50 plug-in and run everything you want.

    3.90M33 Custom Firmware Upgrade Question

The only real advantages 3.90M33-2 has at this time:
    1. A native >8GB ms patch for 1.50 homebrew.
This means that Homebrew can be written and read from the memory stick at > than the 4GB 1.50 firmware limit.
    2. pops support 3.80 and 3.90
    3. If you do go to 3.90 make sure you install the fatsmod patch. (installs 3.71 ms driver on 3.80 and 3.90)
This should fix any problems with PS1 games being read from the MS.

But now you can upgrade to 3.90 m33 and apply the 1.5 kernel patch ^_^.
