Half Life [17 mb wad] for PSP :)

Hello, here is me, MichalT441.

So I heard that link for Half-Life mod for Doom2 is terminated. Luckily I'm great searcher, and found it using Google.

I found HL mod for Doom2 just the one like we seen in "HL on Ipod" videos.
I tested it with Doom PSP 0.05. Only 4 levels but cool TC. In my opinion it's 1st on the list of kickass Doom mods.

Here's a vid of it running on my PSP, to prove it works

Put HLPSP and HLPSP% in PSP/GAME, if you have FW 1.50. However if you have custom FW (example: 3.02 OE-A) put it in PSP/GAME150. For M33 custom FW you need to install 1.50 kernel addon.

wow this thing is awesome.
but the graphics are a little blurry

I had another Half life PSP wad for Doom PSP v1.4 and it wasn't as blurry, but it crashed at the beginning of the third level every time. Thanks for the link

Thx, good to hear you liked it! But I did not made this. I downloaded it from the net.

I know, that sometimes happens to some other mods, for example, once it happened to me with goldeneye one.

UPDATE: Here's a newer version of Half-Life for PSP!

Good news:
- Game is much much smoother now
- Now it has better Half-Life HUD, making game look more like Half-Life. Just go to Configuration and set Screen Size to maximum
- Now Gordon Freeman will always run
- Less crashes
- New! Kickass multiplayer play !!! (max 4 players)
- New! Fight through all levels full of monsters thru Co-op !!! (max 2 players)

Bad news:
- No music playback now
- Still menu looks black
- When you QUIT GAME, it crashes and then you need to turn off and on your PSP 2 times.
- Still crashes on lvl 5

Now loading game is much easier. When you see first screen, you will be asked if you want to play Single Player of Multi Player.

After selecting single-player, you will see that menu where before you had to click X and press START. Now you just need to press START (if you didn't rename the WAD file).

I haven't tested Multi Player yet, but it should work. You can also play with bots. But remember, if you want to play with your friend thru multiplayer, both PSP has to have same WAD file, without renaming !!!

anyone wants i could change controls for u guys for the ones you like

example:
d-pad - movement
left trigger - fire
right trigger - open
triangle - map
square - move left
circle - move right
cross - run
analog - cycle weapons

its easy as hell. all i have to do is edit config.ini

UPDATE: Here's new version:

Same as first one, except that I changed controls to make game more like half-life

Analog - Cycle weapons
D-Pad - Movement
Left trigger - Fire
Right trigger - Open/Use
Triangle - Map
Square and Circle - Strafing
Cross - Run
Select - Up one menu
Start - Select in menu

Now, it doesn't use Doom PSP 0.05 icon anymore. Now it's got it's own icon, so it's even more Half-life!
Now you don't need to click X on Half Life.WAD. Because game loads automatically now.
Now, it still crashes on level 5, although when it stops on lvl 5, you can still press HOME and exit (wtf?)
Also now, no music playback anymore, but (1) real HL had no music actually and (2) it's other version of DoomPSP.
Also now, when you load this WAD, background of main menu was black since it was 320x240 and Doom-PSP used 320x200. Fixed.

Is there anyway the eboot file in the Half-Life folder can also have the same icon as the one in the Half-Life% folder? I'm using 3.71 M33-4, which can't play the eboot from the Half-Life% folder but plays the other one (the one still using the old Doom icon) just fine.

Hope that made sense.
