Invisible Folders/Directories

Does anyone else have a problem with folders not showing up in file selection menus? I'm using a 1.5 PSP and a Sandisk memory card, and this happens all the time in RIN, Nester and pretty much any emulator really.
Maybe it's because I'm using a Mac?

can you plz explain exactly what the problem is? do you mean like, rom selection within an emulator? of u have them on your mem stick, and you changed the name of the folder or something, or just for another reason, you have to press back or something and browse where the location is, or if im way off from the problem, can u plz clarify?
