8Gbit? so 1Gbyte then? stupid misleading people...
well... but it supports micro sdhc so thats good.
Still, for a newbie, they think its an awesome deal, and realise theyve been shafted...
What the? What more do you expect them to do? Write "1,000,000,000 bytes"? And yes, a gigabyte in terms of media is a billion bytes, rather than 1024*1024*1024 bytes, which I think is far more misleading, but everybody does it.
If you don't care enough about what you're buying to read the basic item description carefully and understand what it says, it's your fault, not theirs.
So what's so great about this?
It looks quite packed and that the sticker is the only thing seperating the components from the outside... I hate that.
To be honest, im not stupid enough to fall for the false advertising, im thinking of the people who are...
Yeah, but it's not false advertising. If they'd written 8GB (which I've actually seen from Divineo and other places), THAT would be false advertising. 8Gb or 8Gbit is perfectly honest. In fact, I consider it NICE of them to have written "Gbit", which makes it practically impossible to misread.
Edit: Oh, I get what you were trying to say, kind of. The name of the product does just say "8G", which is kind of iffy. Presumably the posted description is an official description though, and that says "8Gbit".
