Yes. You do realize there's a difference between protecting and over protecting, right ? I mean, **** me, you must live in some gangland if you can't comprehend letting a NINE YEAR OLD out on a nearby street, where there parents can easily reach them whilst still being given the freedom an average 9 year should be.

That's pretty much what I was getting at. The blame lies solely on the thief, and not the parents in this case, which I feel have done nothing wrong. I'm prepared to leave it there...
