Can somebody tell me if the Wii Component Cable port is compatible with the GameCube?

I've been trying to get a hold of a Gamecube component cable for some time, but they're either waaayyy too expensive or not in stock anymore.

Anyways, for $35 I think this is a pretty sweet deal.

Goody, this cable is just what I need to connect all my consoles, so much better than having to swap one for another when wishing to use a different console.

Nope. The Gamecube component cables use a different proprietary cable than the Wii. If you want to enjoy 480p on gamecube games that support it, I suggest that you buy a wii and some wii component cables.
