I am looking for beta testers who have this device: http://www.neoflash.com/go/index.php...=189&Itemid=37

I would like to add motion support to PSP-Maps.
Please reply to this post or contact me if you are interested.

    Thanks!

This is a VERY good application, wow! I can see my school. The cache system works splendidly both online and offline, too. Thank you!

Until royale posts it here himself, you can get an updated v0.6 from the NeoFlash forums (he has entered it to the competition), or from his website. Everyone should consider getting a user at NeoFlash and look at the very good contributions this year, then find out which to vote for. PSP-Maps is deep in my thoughts.

Thanks again, and good luck in the contest!

royale, some things I would love to be changed to make it more perfect:
    - Make the analog nub less sensitive -- it moves by itself almost all the time for me.
    - Make a list where you can select which map to use, either by pressing the square button or through the start menu. Switching between them now is too slow and messy (unless I'm doing it the wrong way (pressing square and cross)). Also make it more clear to the user which map is currently in use. This would make the app more future-proof, too, as it currently stays on the loading screen until it gets a response from the site, and will keep doing it even if it doesn't (or maybe it displays "image not available" after a while, not sure! :O)
    - I don't know how hard it would be, and it's not so important since you can switch between them with a single button press, but could you add hybrid support in Google Maps so that both street names and satellite images show at the same time?
    - And, personally, I prefer the XMB keyboard input and think it's faster and easier to type with. I'd like an option to choose between that and the current "arcade/high-score" input, just to keep everyone satisfied.

    Keep on rocking!

I am not sure to post a news for this version, since it is a minor update.
It was mainly to add the splash screen for the contest
Full changelog is available here: http://royale.zerezo.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=282
Thank you for your support, I hope users at Neoflash will also enjoy PSP-Maps

    - Make the analog nub less sensitive -- it moves by itself almost all the time for me.
Yes I agree, I also had the bug with the joystick moving alone yesterday.
I would also like to add support for the motion kit, since I think it could be funny to move the map tilting the PSP.

    - Make a list where you can select which map to use, either by pressing the square button or through the start menu. Switching between them now is too slow and messy (unless I'm doing it the wrong way (pressing square and cross)). Also make it more clear to the user which map is currently in use. Yes this is also in my todo list. I think I will add an entry in the menu. I don't want to show informations "on screen" to have the maximum visibility of the map.
But maybe I could add a button to show/hide informations (such as latitude/longitude/zoom level/map type/etc).

    - I don't know how hard it would be, and it's not so important since you can switch between them with a single button press, but could you add hybrid support in Google Maps so that both street names and satellite images show at the same time?
This is a just bit harder with Google/Yahoo Maps, since they use two images (the satellite view, and a transparent image on top of it). And it will be a bit slower too since we need to download two images for one tile.
Virtual Earth sends directly the combined image.

    - And, personally, I prefer the XMB keyboard input and think it's faster and easier to type with. I'd like an option to choose between that and the current "arcade/high-score" input, just to keep everyone satisfied.
Yes, I had both feedbacks, some user like it, some don't, so I think I will add both
