he probably doesnt have popsloader and on the gpsp he needs the bios to play the games
Hey friends, I used the jigkick battery and jigstick to switch my friend's PSP from Sony firmware to M33 firmware. It is now 3.80 M33-5. Everything worked and it runs fine, but he can't play Resident Evil 2 cause it freezes at the "This Game Contains Scenes Of Explicit Violence And Gore" screen. Also, he can't use gpSP 0.9 but I can do both of those on my PSP (which I used to downgrade his) without any problems and it's the same custom firmware. Do I have to install the 1.50 kernel add-on on his PSP to use gpSP? Thanks in advance

Yup, and he'll also need the 1.50 kernel add-on.
Piece of Pie, really - wouldn't you say? At least it's not Dead and Bloated, right?![]()

Depending on what version is being used gpSP will require the 1.50 kernel add-on
Exophase final build requires the 1.50 add-on for Phat PSP's with firmware = or >3.71M33
gpSP 0.9 - GBA Emulator for the PSP (full speed)
There are unofficial builds of gpSP that do not require the 1.50 kernel:
Gameboy-Advance-Emulators-PSP
You'll have to use Popsloader to play RE3. (pops 3.11 or 3.40)
So make sure you have the following:
The new popsloader for 3.80M33
The Game ID and Save ID needs to be the same for both discs: SLPS01222
This can be changed by using something like: PSX2PSP
See this thread:
Resident Evil 2 now WORKING on 3.40 OE

See, I figured out the gpSP problem, I just need the 1.50 kernel add-on. But I didn't know I needed popsloader for his PSP too. Ugh, more work for me to do. But thanks guys for the help, I appreciate it.
its not even hard it can be done in no longer than 30 minutes
for the 1.50 kernel you'll need to have the origianl eboot of the 1.50 on the root of your stick and just run the 1.50 kernel add-on program then your done with that
I know. I know exactly what to do. Alls I needed to know was if I needed the kernel add-on for his PSP as well seeing how Pandora basically copied my PSP.
