Thumbs up PSPUAE 0.31 w/KBD 1.0 (Amiga Emu for PSP)

Attila has released a new build of the port of the Amiga emulator UAE with support for the Keyboard, heres what he says:

    PSPUAE 0.31 w/KBD 1.0

    Changes to PSPUAE 0.31 :
    - Moved statistics screen to Menu/Options/Show statistics
    - Added finer mouse movements while the () - Circle is pressed.
    - Optimized some drawing related functions.
    - Added FULL keyboard :
    :: To activate/deactivate keyboard; press [] - Square
    If Keyboard is active :
    - Triangle : changes position of keyboard to top/bottom of the screen.
    - Up/Right/Down/Left arrows : walk the keyboard.
    - X - Cross : Press invokes a key-press event,
    Release invokes a key-release event.
    - () - Circle : presses the "Return" key...

The are 8 sticky keys (Ctrl,Alts,Amigas,Shifts,CapsLock); pressed once
will make them sticky (they will not be released - indicated by red
highlight), pressing again will release them.

Also, please note, this uses a US keyboard layout. If your kickrom is
non-US, there are going to be some minor "discrepencies".
( Just imagine that you connected a US keyboard to your Amiga... )

    Thank you Christophe for 0.31.

Since I got my PSP yesterday I haven't tried the older versions. This version is faster than I ever thought it would be. Turrican is playable with sound and frameskip 3. I get around 50 FPS but when there's lots of sprites on the screen it's a little bit lower. This is in my opinion the best thing that have happend to PSP. Thank you!!!

As far as I know this is no faster than 0.31. It just adds keyboard support. Most games run at a frameskip of 8, which makes them unplayable only games that do not require much screen activity are playable. I havn't tried Turrican but if it runs at a frameskip of 3 then it is running better than all the games I tried.

It was rather frameskip 4 than 3. It all depends on the number of sprites used in the game. It seems to be better to leave the auto frameskip off. If you turn off the sound too you can make it run a little bit faster. With no sound Turrican 2 is indeed playable. But it would be nice if you could remap the joypad buttons. It's very hard to play since the game is designed for joysticks so you have to use the dpad to jump. BTW parabolee which games have you tried so far?

yep. and its not even included in the clicks for dev thingy.
this emu is so damn fun.
one of my favourite games Gold of the Aztecs run at nearly 100% speed. (with no sound emu) and so do many other games.
though i wish it was possible to assign keys to different buttons. it would be great for gaming.

but its still in early stages.

but i've messed around a bit with the Amiga Workbench. and i used the notepad and saved a file. its stored on the "disk" (amiga workbench wb13_1.adf)
