so. yeah more background images to make it look good
but this time, the background is for the menu for samus's suit, also a little work in progress how it will look like in the main start menu....also a ending credit:

Now this is more like it! I really like that image for the credits. As for the lack of responses, that is probably because:

1. This is a Sony board. Metroid fans typically would hang around a Nintendo forum. No offense intended.

2. The lack of in-game screenshots and videos with enemies AND the character.

But don't forget, just because people don't post doesn't mean we don't care. Some of us just don't say much, so you should really bbe looking at the view count.

one vid of the engine i made is good enough. videos says everything.. ill make more videos once i get AI straightened and sprite editing done

On that note, if you want to get more publicity(and help) why not just post a few of your enemy sprites? The engine did look good by the way. Oh, another question: will the game make use of the gba-like controls or some interface that requires the use of all face buttons?

will be set as default from the super metroid game for snes... [my idea since its after super metroid] let me see if i can blend with gba control setting for more features
edit: enemies are gonna be the same as the original snes... lies... ill put the zero mission one since its more detailed...

Will the appearance of metroids be frequent or infrequent(yes I know the timeline but look at the metroids in the prime series)?

yeah... i have other metroids but i have to implement AI to them.. but for now i will use one type of metroid.... when time goes by and the engine is done ill start building the story to the game

lua is too limited..

Not really, you can do a full Metroid game using Lua.

I suggest you finish the coding first before doing the gfx.

See? People care plenty about your project, especially me. Unfortunately all I can do is follow your progress and find old sprite sheets online if you want them... But I'm looking forwared to the next update!!

BTW, will you be playing as samus only or will there be other characters?

This looks very promising. Although I cannot help you work on the game, I wish you the best of luck. Is there any way that someone could help him code/work on this a little bit? Wish the best to you! :)
