Default Shenmue Passport receives an update.

    Source - Dreamcast Scene

According to http://www.planetxbox.com/shenmuedojo, after 3 years of non-activity, the Shenmue Passport received an update on February 22nd, 2006 with the text-
"The Shenmue Passport is in update process. Come again and visit us!"

While it wasn't a large update, it makes a point that there will be future updates. Wait and see!

Now thats really strange. I wonder if it means Sega will put back content for other games as well. And the dream of having them put servers back up suddenly feels a little bit closer.

Hm, wow, that's strange...I wonder if Sega isn't considering re-releasing the Dreamcast to some extent..I think it would only be a win-win situation. All the materials used to make the Dreamcast would be dirt cheap by now, and if they did make it again, they could put wireless controllers in it just to put it up to speed, maybe a 2gb harddrive for game saves, and, probably just leave the rest of it exactly the same. People would buy it if it was cheap enough. It would be a very bizarre move, but, Sega selling refurbished Dreamcasts in Japan makes me wonder if they aren't testing the water, to see how maybe a full scale thing would do.
