    Default Counter Strike Maps in Quake 1 engine

    It isnīt so hard convert half life and cs maps to quake 1 map format ...
    Yerterday i converted de_dust and de_prodygy and play it in quake 1 (deadmatch mode)
    It is possible create an game similar counter strike editing the quakec code....

    My anwer
    It will be legal ?

    yes you could creat a counterstrike like mod for quake, but it would be a lot of work...

    if its legal? if you copy textures and maps of a commercial game its not legal, you have to recreate

    i think is a sweet idea as long as its legal, throw in a few guns and what not from CS and get it online, that could be a great pick up for the DC

    Or using the "leaked" dreamcast half-life

    Am I the only one thinking Sony put an end to !bleemcast and half-life (who was actually 100% complete) who could have sunk PlayStation earlier (PS3.. ) ..?

    its legal afaik since cs 1.5 and earlier maps were not a property of valve yet.

    unfortunately quake is not great online yet

    using the halflife leaked game for cs is harder due to the lack of source-code

    if/when quake1 is ready for online, then cs-like mod would be more likely

    First descompile the halflife (bsp30) to map (winbsp)
    Sometimes it give some errors.
    Then with wally merge the hl.wad to quake1 wad.
    And recompile the map to quake1 bsp 29 (Quarq or Worcraft )

    can you describe it more detailled? ive tried it but i dont know how to do it
