here is an idea for for some of you developers, considering the fact that non of the remotes currently circulating will work on firmware 2.x, see if you can make one that will.

That's is near impossible, well t meast for now because on 2.++ firmware the psp is in user acess mode not kernal mode, which means 1.5 users have more access to all of the psp's hardware.

Taken from the ELoader readme:

- Support SIRCS infra-red (GTA only)

Looks like IR support is slowly being figured out.

alright then is there any way to downgrade from 2.6 to 1.5 and if so how

There is no way currently to downgrade a 2.6 PSP at all. Until homebrew is able to access the PSP's kernal mode to change the apparent version of the PSP, there is no way to spoof the trick used to downgrade previously.
