    Newly released from GPH:

I noticed, that the very usefull touchscreen test included in firmware 1.0.0 and 1.0.1 don't work with fw 1.1.0 (or is it just me?).
Bug or intention, I don't know.
So I ripped the file from fw 1.1.0 (it's still there] and uploaded it to the archive.
Just unzip and copy it to your SD card. Now you can start it with the launcher and exit with L+R buttons.

Newly released for the Wiz from Notaz:

This file is originally included with Noiz2sa from notaz.

With this file it is possible to reduce screen tearing and remove stutter on firmware 1.1.0 in many games.
Here's an example for Quake 2:

Download Noiz2a from the archive. Copy the file pollux_dpc_set to the Quake 2 folder.

    Now edit q2.gpe:

    #!/bin/sh

    ./cpufreq --freq 750
    ./pollux_dpc_set 'lcd_timings=397,1,37,277,341,0,17,337;clkdiv0=9'
    ./sdlquake2 +set vid_ref softsdl +set s_khz 22
    #for a timedemo run add +set timedemo 1 +map demo1.dm2
    cd /usr/gp2x/
    ./gp2xmenu

Add the line starting with ./pollux... to the wrapper script. Now the application runs with changed display timings to reduce tearing and stutter on firmware 1.1.0.
Do not change the values after lcd_timings exept you know what you're doing.
Use an Unix compatible editor like Notepad++.

With this solution there is no performance hit but possible shorter battery life. Only the display timings are changed.
The tearing is not complete eliminated with this, but I hardly noticed any tearing in Quake 2 or Noiz2sa.

Credits go to notaz and Exophase. Thanks guys!

MrPeanut has updated Wolfenstein 3D Wii to 1.3.

Wolfenstein 3D and Spear of Destiny are now up to version 1.3

    About the release

Adlib (synthesized) sound and music now work 100%. I want to thank Tantric for his work on the SDL port for the wii. The SDL_Sound code is awesome!
I've done a little tweaking with the IR turning. I've added a "DeadZone" variable to the engine which discards input from the controller if it is a certain amount of pixels from the center of the screen (this number is customizable in the misc options menu). The idea behind this is that turning your character using the wiimote doesn't appear so sensitive and jerky. Thanks Arikado for this idea.
Fixed the typo in the cheat menu, Thanks Roobix.
Important note on multiple game versions
Each version of the game needs the engine compiled for that specific version. If you download Wolfenstein 3D using the Homebrew Browser you will be getting the shareware version of the game. If you own the full game, please go to this project's sourceforge page and download the version compiled for the full version game. Copy your game files that end in WL6 to the folder that your boot.dol is in. Also, if you own Spear of Destiny you need to download the Spear of Destiny game engine from the sourceforge page and copy your game files to that folder. I'm trying to merge all three engines into one but it will take quite a bit of rewrite so I've been putting it off.

    Controls
Wolfenstein 3D and Spear of Destiny support wiimote in a sideways configuration, wiimote + nunchuk, and gamecube controller style controls. These interfaces are selectable in game with classic controller being an option for a later date (if I ever buy one )

pembo has updated BootMii Configuration Editor to v2.0

BootMii configuration editor allows you to change the values in the /bootmii/bootmii.ini file without having to take out the SD card and edit it on a PC.

    Version 2.0
Settings Dialog to change editor settings. This can be accessed by pressing the ‘HOME’ button. The settings are persisted to the langauges file, so if you change the language/skin, whenever you load BootMii Configuration Editor, your selected options will be the default
Internationalisation Supported (Currently English & Spanish Langauges available). Further langauges can be added by editing the bce_messages.xml file. See the readme.txt for details of how to do this
Please be careful if you do edit the XML file. A corrupt/non well-formed XML file
will result in a Crash of the Wii and will dump the stack to the screen.
Ensure you take a backup of the original before attempting to make any custom changes
Currently you can only use characters in the standard ASCII character set,
e.g. [0-9] [a-z] [A-Z] Some puncation characters may also cause issue
It is recommended that you do not use characters with any accents/umlauts/etc
as this will cause an issue
If you do create a translation for a new language please let me know and I’ll then include it in the next release!

Skins/Colour Change. The application can now be presented in a number of look & feels. Initially the following skins are available:
Windows - Windows Installer/DOS like look/feel with a blue background and grey windows
Console - Black background, white text with other colour text to highlight options/selections
Inverse Console - White background, black text with other colour text to highlight options/selections
Custom Skins can be added by editing the bce_messages.xml file. See the readme.txt for instructions on how to do this.

Online version Checking. When the Editor is loaded, it performs a check to see if the version running is the latest available version. If a newer version is available, then a message is shown for a few seconds during startup to indicate this. This online checking can be disabled if you do not wish BootMii Configuration Editor to check for a new version or do not have the wii networked. If you wish to disable this check, see the instructions in the readme.txt
Please be careful if you do edit the XML file. A corrupt/non well-formed XML
file will result in a Crash of the Wii and will dump the stack to the screen.
Ensure you take a backup of the original before attempting to make any custom changes.

    News/release from tehpola

I’m sorry for those of you who will be disappointed that I’m not posting to talk about Wii64 or WiiSX right now, but I have another little release I’d like to announce. A month or so ago, I was working on porting OpenJazz, a Jazz Jackrabbit 1 engine, to the Wii, and I got it in a pretty polished condition. However, I didn’t release it earlier because I couldn’t get the network support just right. I’ve decided to roll it out in its current state without networking and hopefully someone else interested in the project will pick it up because I’d like to focus more on Wii64. Anyone interested should check out: the google code page.

This is a massive release Super Mario Galaxy is now playable in this build and that should mean many other Wii Games are too, this makes this emulator great for Both for Gamecube and Wii Games, firstly heres a video:

    First this newspost

Dev's have been hard at work and doing some amazing fixes. First off is DSP work. Super Mario Galaxy now has sound support and is working for the most part. It's just missing some volume controls and left/right controls on the sound. Second are the graphical fixes. Fear not, it will no longer make you want to stab your eyes out. I have taken a few pictures and will link you to the forum post to see them. Currently, there is a bug in Duel Core causing a hang but its already being looked at.

Edit 1: Good news, the Duel Core bug has been corrected. we can now enjoy ZWW and SMG in its full speed goodness! bins comming soon.

    Then this newspost:

This has to be one of the best releases we have done in a long time! With Super Mario Galaxy and Zelda Wind Waker both having functing sound. Also, Super Mario Galaxy having its Graphical issues fixed and is now completelly playable! Download and post some screen shots on the Super Mario Galaxy thread in the previous news post! Check the svn changes for more details on whats been changed/fixed in the source code.

Edit 1: Also forgot to say Mario Kart DD is fully working as well with sound.
Edit 2: We are aware real wiimotes are not working currently and its being looked at now.
