AgentQ has released a new version of his port of ScummVM for the Nintendo DS:

Please test this new beta version of ScummVM, and post your results here. If you try this out, please post how you got on here, whether it worked or not.

When you post, try to include:
    * Your card reader
    * The game you were testing (including which language it runs in)

If you see problems, please post the details of those too.

Since this is hopefully the final beta, if you use this build, please post a short message with what game you played, and what hardware you used. That way I know what has been tested.

    was turned off

Evil Dragon has posted news on the Openpandora site about the latest news of the Pandora console:

    Yep, we're still alive!
And we all do hope you had a very happy easter and some free days.
It's time for a very comprehensive blog post - the best prediction we can give at the moment.
It definately is kinda hard to predict some stuff, as communication between the various timezones is taking some time...
For example, if I send the battery layout to Michael to check it for sizes and afterwards he sends it to the Chinese factory... geez, there are three VERY different timezones involved...
Anyways, back to the topic. I had quite a bit of work to do during the easter days, I created the battery label (not only the part you already seen, but the label with exact cuttings and measurements).
And I had to translate the complete GP2X WIZ Manual into german language (about 70 pages... whoooopsie... yeah, I know it's not Pandora related, but I do multiple things at once )

Okay, now onto our (best case) prediction...

Our current plan is to build a half dozen prototypes for rev3 by the end of April or first week of May (depending on how far the devs get with the software).
Michael will test them thoroughly with a new kernel from Notaz/DJWillis. The tests will mainly be to make sure the boards were manufactured properly (since they will be from the company who will provide production quantities) and to make sure they were soldered properly.
So basically, our final hardware test will start soon!

We're trying to make sure we can build up to the first 500 units in May (at most). The next 3500 should be finished in June.
The transparent case should arrive within the next few days. After that, we can finally start the moulding process!
It does seem like the best date we will have cases is the end of May. After they arrive, we can finally start shipping, as the boards will be ready at that time.

Some things can and will be done in parallel, so that that stuff will be ready when the Pandora is finished:

    - Get carry cases manufactured
    - Do CE and FCC (CE will be done with one of those Rev3 Boards, FCC can't be done before we have the first final unit)

I guess this is the most comprehensive route map you ever got, eh? We're getting there

And again: A BIG thanks to all of you for sitting this out with us. Every one of us does owe a LOT to you!

Lets hope this does see a release day very soon ...

Monochrome Worlds is a simple puzzle game where players must two people reach a common goal. These two people, one of them black and the other white, live in different worlds and must work together in order that both of them reach the gray-colored spot, which is the only place where they can share the same space.

In order to help the other, each character can toggle some of the game’s blocks from one world to the other and back again. This can lead to some interesting situations where a character must remove a block from the other’s world in order to let her companion pass through.

It is a remake of a Flash-based game called Monochro Observer created by Tatsuya Koyama. The motivation behind the remake was to be able to play the game in environments that have no Flash players available, such as the GP2X.

This game is known to work on GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows platforms.

    What is GrafX2? ?!

It's a bitmap paint program that allows you to draw in more than 60 video resolutions (from 320x200 to 1024x768, including most of the standard Amiga resolutions : 320x256, 320x512, 640x256, 640x512, etc... provided your videocard knows how to handle them). It was written to run under DOS, but the code you'll find here was modified to use SDL and modern operating systems.

This program is dedicated to everybody who knows what a single pixel is. Its layout is not very different from the famous Deluxe Paint or Brilliance, so it will be quite easy to handle it if you know at least one of these programs. If you aren't used to the art of drawing with up to 256 colors, it will be a little more difficult for you, but you should give it a try (or more, because most of the power of this program won't show up on the first try). Then, you might eventually like to draw the oldskool way with GrafX2?.

The program, although still unfinished (but perfectly operational) offers all the useful tools you can expect from a bitmap paint program (if they aren't already available, they will be). We took most of the best ideas from other paint programs and added many other original and very useful tools, just to try to bring you the best 256-color bitmap paint program for PC. It's up to you to decide if we have succeeded, so please download it, try it and make your own opinion. By the way, it's FREEWARE and open source !

The gp2x port is actively maintained by the Grafx2 project team, so please report bugs to us so we can improve the program !

    Tantric has released libwiigui 1.02.

libwiigui is a GUI library for the Wii, created to help structure the design of a complicated GUI interface, and to enable an author to create a sophisticated, feature-rich GUI. It was originally conceived and written after I started to design a GUI for Snes9x GX, and found libwiisprite and GRRLIB inadequate for the purpose. It uses GX for drawing, and makes use of PNGU for displaying images and FreeTypeGX for text. It was designed to be flexible and is easy to modify - don't be afraid to change the way it works or expand it to suit your GUI's purposes! If you do, and you think your changes might benefit others, please share them so they might be added to the project!

    1.0.2 - April 13, 2009
    Fixed letterboxing on PAL
Add STATE_HELD for held button actions (eg: draggable elements)
    Now tracks state changes per-remote
    Default constructor for GuiImage
Keyboard corrections, added more keyboard keys
Better handling of multiple wiimote cursors on-screen
Added functions for the ability to alter button behavior for all states
    Documented GuiTrigger class
Refactor - moved trigger class definition to gui.h
