Yup, got another Apple rumor for ya here, step aside people. No, it's not word on the supposedly-forthcoming Mac we want oh so much, the media Mac mini, but it does have to do with the iPod dock that device was supposed to have. According to ThinkSecret, Apple's first run of Intel Mac minis that are now going into production overseas had their top-loading integrated iPod docks swiped at the last minute. Yes, we know this isn't as big a deal as the media mini itself, but there are a fair number of people out there who were pretty stoked for some hard iPod on Mac mini action. And to them we say: well, it was only a rumor anyway, wasn't it?

Bringing the traditionally PC-centric football management genre to consoles has always been a tricky task. Rapid menu navigation has never lent itself well to console joypads, and finding an effective console interface has been a constant hurdle for developers. However, veteran management dev Sports Interactive has created an intuitive interface with Football Manager '06 on Xbox 360, but, as it also shifts gaze to the potential of Nintendo's Revolution innovation, it spies plenty of new interface opportunities.
In an interview with CVG, SI's managing director Miles Jacobson has revealed his ideas for a Football Manager on Revolution. While he's admitted that the company doesn't have development kits for the system, he's said that he's keen to check out Nintendo's new console. "We will happily evaluate any platform to see if the game [Football Manager] can be done on it," he explained. "If Nintendo ever want to talk to us they know where we are."

Jacobson then shared some creative spark with us, on what could well turn out to be Football Manager Revolution. "It'd be quite interesting though, you could use the controller as something to tell the players off at half-time," he suggested, "wagging it at the screen could mean they've been bad and making a tick could mean they've been good." He then quickly expressed his satisfaction with the Xbox 360 interface: "You could use [the Revolution controller] as a cursor but we're very happy with the control system on the 360." ...

The guys over at Optixx have released a few updates to their version of the Media Player for the PSP, heres the info:

Moved my network code to the M4g3 version. Also added configfile support so that you are able to make your WIFI settings via the configfile pmp.ini. Since i had to move the main thread to userspace the HOME button isn’t working, so you have to use TRIANGLE to quit the player.

Also this

Made a binary release of the network enabled PMP Mod M4g3 media player. Since i don’t use Windows i can’t deliver an windows tested pmp server script.

Some Tips and Tricks:

Use an static ip address
Double check your PSP WIFI Setug
Choose which WIFI Setup to use and the edit con flag in pmp.ini, which is an index to your WIFI Setup, so first WIFI config implies con=0;
Check your remote server script with wget or curl
http://localhost:3333/open?filename=movie.avi&flags=O_RDONLY"Enable the debug flag in pmp.ini
Stay close to your Access Point if you Test for the first time.
