All three have filed comments with the U.S. Copyright office supporting the Electronic Frontier Foundation's request for an exemption to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act who's goal is to allow Jailbreakers to not have any fear of possible legal Jailbreaking ramifications even though Apple claims that Jailbreaking is illegal.

In an interview with Computer World Mozilla CEO John Lilly said "This is not us criticizing Apple," and then "But it's the principle of the thing. Choice is good for users, and choice shouldn't be criminalized. The Internet is too important for all of us for that."
Mozilla General Counsel Harvey Anderson are quoted saying "Given the choice, would we work on a platform where the sole company controlling it makes us unwelcome, or would we work on a platform, like Linux, where we are welcome? The answer is going to be easy for us," continuing with "These devices..

DICE and Electronic Arts today announced that Mirror's Edge is getting a host of new time trial maps, all of which are available today on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The pack of nine new maps take Faith outside of the city, away from the cops, and into an entirely new world where time is the only opponent. The time trials are available for 800 Microsoft Points ($10).
As an added bonus, PlayStation 3 users get an exclusive tenth time trial map that won't be available anywhere else. Fans of Mirror's Edge can also look forward to the two-dimensional version of the game which will be made available this Friday via the game's website.

Don McCabe, managing director of the videogames retailer Chips, believes that Nintendo has done the right thing by releasing the DSi in the UK and US sooner than expected.
Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz, McCabe explained how the earlier than expected release will cut down the imports market and fuel interest in consumers, who had written off the handheld till the end of the year.
"The release date is very good. I'm very happy with that," he said. "It means we won't be looking at imports and all the problems imports can raise in the UK market - I think Nintendo have done a good thing by getting the worldwide release within a certain period."
"In terms of the price: I think the price is on the good side, it's possibly a little more expensive than I would have thought but when you add everything that it does I think it represents good value for money."
He added: "I think everybody was interested [in the DSi] but they were anticipating that we weren't going to see it until Christmas or possibly even next year. So I think the announcement today will have come as a welcome surprise to the UK consumer. Now we'll start to see a lot of declarations of interest in terms of deposits."
McCabe still expects there to be a strong market for the DS Lite too, saying that the two different products will find different consumers.
"I think the DS Lite will still have a place and will still sell decent quantities," he commented....
"I don't think it will [impact too much on DS Lite sales], I think will be an additional sales channel. I still think the DS Lite has a place in the market but the DSi will appeal to the more discerning consumers."by Published on February 19th, 2009 20:46

Microsoft has made a radical departure from its traditional stance of refusing to comment on rumour and speculation, instead telling Eurogamer: "We have nothing to announce at this time."
The statement came in response to a query about rumours about a new red Xbox 360. As reported by Kotaku, a reference to the red version recently appeared on an email sent to retailers and press in New Zealand.
Eurogamer contacted Microsoft about the email, fully expecting the stock response, "We do not comment on rumour or speculation."
However, reporters were left shocked and stunned when the platform holder instead replied, "We have nothing to announce at this time."
It's not the first time Microsoft has had nothing to announce at this time. Back in August 2005, when Eurogamer reported that Xbox 360 was due to launch on November 25th, Microsoft said it had nothing to announce at that time. As it transpired, Eurogamer was completely wrong.
More recently Microsoft has tended to favour "We do not comment on rumour or speculation" as its preferred response. In the past few months alone the company has declined to comment on rumour and speculation regarding GoldenEye XBLA, Mass Effect Special Edition, seven price cuts and a Quantum of Solace hardware bundle, to name just some of literally thousands of examples.

The extra Time Trial maps are a floating clusters of primary-coloured platforms presenting myriad of speedy routes to the end of the level. And, by doing away with the cheesy story and flimsy combat, the pure and athletic joy of Mirror's Edge can flourish.

Nintendo is to release the latest in it series of handheld consoles, the DSi, in Europe on April 3.
The company has said that is does not officially set recommended retail prices for its products, but stores in the UK are already listing the DSi with a price of GBP 149.
The DSi will ship in two colours – black and white – and arrives two days later than its official launch in North America.
