Just.. wow. Yes. Approved. Ok, technically Simmons is a bass player - but who in the hell cares when you can own this?

The Gene Simmons Axe Guitar features 'ultra-responsive frets' and an 'analog whammy bar' but **** all that - this is a guitar shaped like a battleaxe as used by the guy from Kiss with the tongue and the big face who was in that film with Magnum and the killer robots. You know the one.

This beauty is compatible with Rock Band and Guitar Hero and seems to feature Simmons' signature as well as a representation of his greasepainted mug, so one would assume it is an official Simmons Product. Santa, I hope you are reading this and can take a hint.

Gene Simmons Axe Guitar [Amazon - thanks to Nick LeBlanc for the tip]

Poison has updated Hostcore to work on the latest Custom Firmware:

I did not know there was 5.00 until Albert Markish send me an email telling me that I should update Hostcore to support 5.00 CFW. Actually I had not touched PSP for more than 3 months, but I should apologize to who wait for this release, huh. and there would be an update of CXMB these days. BTW, my current major work is about Human MicroRNA computational prediction methods(mainly using Drasha/Dicer site), the PSP group is very huge, right? if somebody like to share some information with me about that, email me, thanks.

    News/release from raing3

Here is a simple app which starts dumping data after reading the first 8192 bytes. It dumps exactly 256kb of data. This should be sufficient for dumping most IPLs from the Memory Stick, I know RainMotorSports is apparently working on an app to do it. But I got bored and started learning a little, the program isn't all that great as it doesn't actually dump just the IPL it dumps any other data after it until it reaches 256kb however IPL installer apps should still be able to write this data back without causing problems in most cases. Please don't critisize the quality of the app this was both my first app for the PSP and my first app in C++. If anyone could assist in fixing up the following issues it would be also be greatly appreciated:

    - The application doesn't detect the size of the IPL, just dumps 256kb (slightly larger than the original pandora IPL).

    - The program does not go directly to the IPL sector, it first reads 8kb of data before it gets to the IPL (this wastes time and looks stupid).

    - The rubbish size may have to change when using different file system etc. Not sure but if the size of sectors change it probably will have to change.

    Updated release from CaptSmokey6:

What's inside? A fusion of PSPWxp 3.5 and iFreeRadio 1.8 in a very simple interface. No, it does not look like an operating system, it looks like a normal web page. It's all web powered which allows instant updates without downloading anything thus saving precious free space on your memory stick. I am still working on it, but almost everything is functional. The things i need to do is to add the links to other websites (such as google, Gmail, eBuddy, and so on) that is included with PSPWxp, the contact me page, and the themes page so you can change the look of the portal. It installs as an Internet Radio portal, which uses only 2KB. The iFreeRadio part of the portal still looks the same. Compatible with official and custom firmware 3.80 and higher.

Where to get it? Point your PSP's web browser to:
