Shane Kim has said that a future version of Project Gotham Racing could be developed by Forza Motorsport developer Turn 10.

Speaking to Kikizo recently, Kim said, "Our goal is to roll the studio so that they can do more creative execution within the racing space. So you can imagine a future where they would develop a new version of Project Gotham Racing."

Nothing is set in stone, he said, but he did add that "after four versions of PGR, it's really important for us to take a fresh creative approach to it and to really think about what we want the next version of PGR to be if we do that".

PGR began life in another guise, Metropolis Street Racer, on Dreamcast with Bizarre Creations, who went on to steer the series through four critically acclaimed Xbox platform-exclusive iterations.

However, with the developer's acquisition by Activision, announced last September, Microsoft had to rethink. "Project Gotham Racing is a signature racing franchise for Xbox 360 and Xbox Live and we plan to continue the series but we have nothing further to announce," the company said at the time. ...

Microsoft has said that it will be removing underperforming Xbox Live Arcade titles from its console download service.

Titles that have suffered an average review score of less than 65 per cent and have a trial conversion rate of 6 per cent will be taken off the service after a three month grace period, reports Gamasutra.

The move comes following confirmation that Microsoft is to raise the file limit of game downloads to 350MB.

Microsoft will not be releasing a spring update for the Xbox 360 dashboard as it has done in the past, but wil instead work on server issues

The firm will also establish a new internal develoment team focused on downloadable content. ...

Remember Quinta Essentia? Probably not, but you should.

For those empty brains there, Quinta Essentia is a homebrew RPG under development by Team Xeoka. The game's press release was announced some months ago here at DCEmu.

Just as a quick update, the team hasn't stopped working on the game. They're working on every aspect and detail, and getting it ready to release the best homebrew RPG for the PSP ever created. But, since the project is so huge, and the people working on it are busy people, it's slowing down. And we're asking for help.

We need another member in our team. We are looking for an experienced pixel artist to join the development team, that could aid in the design and creation of interfaces.

    Minimum Requirements:

    * Self motivated with a good attitude and able work with others.
    * Ability to effectively persuade, explain and negotiate.

    Responsibilities:

    * Management of time and workload to meet flexible deadlines.
    * Remain focused and motivated throughout all tasks.
    * Development of interfaces that are entertaining, intuitive and technically feasible.

So, if you think you have what it takes to be in our team, be sure to contact us and show us your skills. You can send an e-mail to the address below:

    News from Ruckage:

    Hi everyone,

V1.1 is now on the archive, I've fixed a bug with the 'Game completed' code and I've made level C6 significantly easier as before it was way too difficult. Now I've sorted that you have no excuses for not getting at least a bronze medal on every map - and when you do I'm sure you won't be dissapointed

To make sure you don't lose your game position you can just copy the sod folder in the v1.1 zip over your original sod folder and click yes when it asks if you wish to overwrite the files, it won't overwrite any of your save files.
Alternatively you can backup the save files onto your hardrive first, the files can be found in the data directory and are called: hiscores, options and keys. These can then be copied into the data folder of the new version.

Have fun and don't forget to let me know if you beat all the levels.
