MAG/PiratePila and AntonioND have updated the Dol and Elf Loader for Wii

    Heres the details:

MAG Loader is a new shipper file ELF and DOL developed by me (MAG / PiratePila) and AntonioND. With this homebrew can have more than one on your SD ELF which means you can choose where you want to load without having to walk connecting the card to the PC and renaming files. One very useful tool for anyone who wants adentrar at the scene Wii.

    Uses

    Using this application is quite simple, just has to follow these steps and run to perfection;

    1) Make sure you have the SD card formatted in FAT/FAT16.

    2) Extract the file MAG_Loader.rar (which you can download below).

    3) Rename the file magloader.elf to boot.elf and copy it to the root of the SD. It also creates a folder called elf (same root), this folder will need to put all the ELF and DOL you want bear MAG Loader.

    4) Insert the SD in the Wii and the burden boot.elf since the channel homebrew or twilight hack, and you enjoy all your ELF in Wii.

Askot and DSBomb have worked on a new version of the Snes Emulator for Gamecube and Nintendo Wii:

    Heres whats new:

    Version 0.1.1 [20080417]

    +[Askot]
    - Added Save state in Zip mode for SD Gecko and Memory Card. Source
mainly taken from SnesGX 2.0b8 [beta]
    - Fixed a sound glitch every time SDReload was used.

    +[dsbomb]
    - GC: fixed DVD support, can read ROMs and ZIPs.
    - Removed certain menu options that are not usable in either Wii or GC mode
    - Proper Wii reboot support
    - Left/right on the dpad are usable on many menu items.
    - WiiSD write support for SRAM, Save states.
    .

The usual instructions apply. Make the "snes9x" directory on your SD card, then the "roms" and "saves" directories inside that. For the WiiSD, long file names are not supported, so it's best to keep them to the 8.3 format (eight characters, then a single period, and a three letter extension). I wanted write support more than long filename support at this time.

Enterbrain has distanced itself from a story by Bloomberg that claimed its president Hirokazu Hamamura said Nintendo would use E3 to showcase a redesigned DS, a rumour Nintendo has strongly denied.

The Japanese company, which publishes games magazine Famitsu, issued a statement flatly denying the predictions attributed to their president.

"No such statement or announcement was made by the president," the company said.

The statement claimed that Hamamura actually told Bloomberg that he would continue to pay attention to the direction the DS was going in and that he had high expectations for this year's E3.

"He did not, however, make a comment about the possibility of an announcement by Nintendo concerning a new model or successor to the Nintendo DS due to its current scarce product availability caused by its worldwide popularity," the company added. ...

A new Saints Row 2 trailer couldn't possibly be any worse than the last one released, and this time around we're being treated to in-game action rather than squiggly lines and dialogue.

You can watch the trailer, which runs for two minutes, in our video player. Can this really stand up against GTA IV?

On top of the trailer, THQ's released four new screenshots into the wild, which we've included here for a Saints Row 2 media medley.

The sequel's just been slapped with an August 29 release date for the UK.

Earlier today, Namco Bandai announced the release of a new update for Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection Online. The update, which is available for free at the PlayStation Store, adds a number of new features for the title that was released in March of 2007. Players now have the ability to enter Pickup Match Mode, continuously fighting in one-on-one matches instead of entering the waiting room. Users can enter and display names for specific online rooms, and even filter their opponents by connection speed via the Flag search feature.

Multiple bug fixes have been made to the game, and additional notifications have been added to let players know when they can fight or when players have entered or left an online room. Another feature that's been included is if your ranked match option is set to off, the results of that match won't affect your overall win/loss record, allowing for more casual fights or players to get practice online against other players. Finally, the update provides DualShock 3 rumble support so players can feel the force of each punch and kick in the game.

We'll have more on Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection as it becomes available. ...

Some people quit smoking with a patch, some with therapy, and some still with hypnosis or acupuncture. DS Fanboy reader Dan had an alternate method: he replaced his nicotine addiction with an addiction to Pokemon. So far he's only 40 days into the trial, but he's reporting success. (What is not reported, however, is how many pokemon he's caught. This is a vital detail, folks!)

So what happens when Dan needs to break his Pokemon addiction?
