    * Lips, You're In The Movies and Scene It? Box Office Smash are also aimed at expanding Xbox's reach but they're game types that have already shown considerable success on other formats. Does this show you're not taking too many risks on the software side?
    * Don Mattrick: When you say not taking too many risks, I think there's kind of a natural evolution of packaged goods, products and experiences coming to the market - this coming year we estimate there will be about 150 titles on Xbox 360, and the majority will be E-rated. And if you're into M-rated content there will be some spectacular games. I think that breadth of titles naturally expands an audience, and I also think that we're all finding our own sense of identity inside the market. We're leading in terms of hours played - a recent study showed that 18-26-year-olds are roughly spending 75 hours a week with our box, which is pretty amazing. That audience tends to be the leader, it tends to influence younger siblings in a household in terms of what's cool and what's hot in the consumer electronics space.

    * What have you taken from the hardware problems Xbox 360 has faced?
    * Don Mattrick: Well, I think we built a pretty amazing box. It was unfortunate that we had some hardware challenges but I totally applaud the way the company dealt with that in being up-front and implementing the warranty. It's unfortunate when anything you create fails, but consumers have appreciated the fact we've said: 'This is a mistake, and this is how we're going to fix it'. People continue to use and evangelize about the product even when faced with this challenge, and I think our team's done an amazing job with fixing it.

Prepare yourself for an adventure rife with action and intrigue in this grand strategy RPG drama.

Our world descended into chaos the day the demonic realm of Besek appeared. Creatures known as the Majin emerged, wreaking havoc and destroying our way of life. They captured the Princess of Valdia and imprisoned her in their lair. Now, brave adventurers throughout the land have set out to explore the Majin homeland. Some wish to rescue the princess; some seek fame and glory; some merely want revenge. However, there are those who look to harness the Majin's dark powers, for it is rumored that deep within Besek lies the Eternal Poison, a legendary treasure able to make your deepest desires come true. Travel the paths of some of these adventurers, and as their tales unfold, you will discover the true meanings of romance, heroism, madness, despair, and betrayal...

    Key Features

The kidnapping of the Princess and the temptation of finding the Eternal Poison have drawn your heroes into a world full of dangerous traps, fiendish monsters, and unexpected villains. Discover a world that is as rich in beauty as it is in corruption.

Every single copy of Eternal Poison is a special two-disc set. In addition to the game disc, customers will receive a soundtrack CD featuring selected music from the game.

Last week, the perfect world here at IGN was shattered when Activision announced that it would not be publishing Ghostbusters: The Video Game, a title from Terminal Reality (PS3/360/PC) and Red Fly (PS2/Wii/DS) that was under the Sierra umbrella. However, a ray of hope has come through today in the form of a Variety blog called The Cut Scene.

There, Variety videogames reporter and reviews editor Ben Fritz reports that he's touched base with Sony Pictures -- lord and master of the Ghostbusters franchise -- and a rep there confirmed that the studio is working with Activision Blizzard "to evaluate various options surrounding the release of the 'Ghostbusters' video game." The post goes on to say that Sony's taking time to "reevaluate" the marketing of the game to "potentially coincide with the 25th anniversary of the original film in '09."

So there you have it: a nameless rep says something might "potentially" happen. We're checking into this one ourselves and will get back to you when we hear something.

Friendly warning, folks: There's a new Xbox Live phishing scam making its way across Microsoft's service. The scam comes in the form of a message (shown below) that appears to be from someone on your friends list, which reads "M2AF everybody go to loginxbox.tk I just got 1600 MS points Hurry though!! I think it is a limited time offer."

Free points? Sounds fantastic, right? Too bad that when you actually go to the bogus site and enter your Xbox Live login information, all it does is send the same message to everyone else on your friends list. So if you've already received (or eventually receive) this message, be a pal and tell whoever sent it to you to change their XBL password pronto, as it may be compromised for whatever nefarious deeds these scammers intend.

The Australian classification website has just updated with a whopper of a scoop - 'R-Type Dimensions' is coming to the Xbox Live Arcade!

From what we can gather, the game is being published by Microsoft themselves, and not title creators Irem, who recently released R-Type Tactics to the PSP. The game is being developed by Tozai Inc, who are also currently working on the fantastic looking 'Lode Runner' for Xbox Live Arcade.

Will it be a new version of R-Type, or a variation of a previous title? It will be interesting to see how this pans out. Surprising how the Xbox 360 has become the platform of choice for these kinds of games.

During E3, Microsoft announced that Final Fantasy XIII was coming to the Xbox 360 — but only for North America and Europe. However, the Xbox 360 was not announced for Japan. Add another country to the list!

At a recent Microsoft game exhibition in Taipei, Microsoft Taiwan's Entertainment and Devices Division head Grace Chou announced that Final Fantasy XIII for the Xbox 360 would go on sale in Taiwan, but haven't yet decided which localized version will be launched for the Asian territories.

We imagine that means it should be possible for Japanese Xbox 360 owners to import the Asia version and play it on their consoles — that is, unless the Asia FFXIII is region coded so that's impossible. This version could have the original Japanese language track with Chinese/Korean/English subtitles or it might be the English language version with Chinese/Korean subtitles. According to Chou, the language hasn't yet been decided.

    Hey guys,

I've been out of the scene for sometime now and I came across an old project of mine that I never really got around to finishing..

Yes its Halo Zero for PSP written in LUA script by me (V3N0M) Now before you get your hopes up this is a few hours of work I had put into this game a long time ago and figured since I wont be around too much anymore I should release it. Understand that this release is extremely buggy and only purpose is to show that work was done on the game although unfinished.

I will be attending college here in the fall, I've got a great girlfriend that supports me in everything I do and other plans for the future. So life is kinda hectic at the moment but enough about my personal life

I've grown and learned a lot this past year so if there is demand for it I might pick this project back up and rewrite the code in C anything but LUA!!! Its a nice scripting language but a very limited one at that!
