    New DS Commercial Game released

Death Note: Kira Game is based on the Japanese (anime) series. Kira Game is a strategy game where the player takes on the role of Kira or L. These are just titles, as any character can be Kira or L. The player will attempt to deduce who their enemy is (Kira will try to uncover L's identity and vice versa).

This will play out in 3 phases: Investigation, where the player will discuss the case and clues with other characters; Voting, where each member of the investigation team casts a vote on who they suspect is L or Kira based on the player's performance in the previous phase; L/Kira, where the player can either focus their investigation on one member to see if they are Kira (L part) or force a member off of the team (Kira part).

Death Note: Kira Game for Nintendo DS™ is shipping today as US$ 48.90 only. Also make sure to check out the Death Note movie release, which contains lots of animations and effects from Konami.

    New DS Commercial game released:

The eagerly awaited sequel to Treasure's 2006 smash-hit fighter Bleach DS: Souten ni Kakeru Unmei, Bleach DS 2nd: Kokui Hirameku Chinkon Uta sports new characters, new and improved movelists, a revamped Wi-Fi interface for cross-continental battling, and more than double the innovative Reifu cards that made the original so tense and strategic.

Bleach DS 2nd also sees the return of all the previous game modes, in addition to the all-new "Mission Mode" that allows players to face off against Hollows for the first time.

Boasting an impressively large character roster, jaw-dropping signature moves, techniques and weapons, and impressive, easy-to-se Wi-Fi capabilities.

Today's shipment of Sega's Bleach DS 2nd: Kokui Hirameku Chinkon Uta covers around 50% of all preorders. We are expecting another shipment to come in tomorrow clearing all further outstanding preorders. However due to limited supply in the market, new orders are only likely to be filled after the Chinese New Year holidays.

According to New Jersey state police, a tow truck driver admits to stealing a Playstation 3, controller and PS2 game out of a car involved in a fatal crash in January. The car, which overturned for "unknown reason," killed 11-month-old Brianna Dastine. Thomas J. Brunell III was called to bring the car back to state police barracks for investigation, he entered the 1998 Nissan Quest minivan and apparently took the items before leaving the minivan at the police station. The police noticed the items were missing while doing a check of the vehicle's contents.

Brunell, 34, who works for Rossnagles Service Center, has been suspended until he is cleared of the charges. Pat Rossnagle, co-owner of the company says, "If he did it, this is dead wrong. If he didn't, let's find out who did it ... over 40 years (in business) and we never had this problem, never had a question -- ever."

The game industry is quick to trump its accomplishments; bestsellers, growing revenues, and market expansion. The optimist in us likes that, but what's a pessimist to do? Well the recent issue of EGM (Mar '07) has a listicle that's hard to argue over: the worst-selling games of 2006. Though the always-serious Seanbaby fails to mention a specific source, he says "These games were selected from sales figures of the least purchased games of 2006 -- cold, hard, indisputable measurements of suck." They are:

Unison: Rebels of Rhythm & Dance (PS2)
Kakuto Chojin: Back Alley Brutal (XB)
    Frogger Beyond (XB)
    Bomberman: Act Zero (XB360)
    Freestyle Street Soccer (XB)
    Egg Mania: Eggstreme Madness (XB)
    Space Ace (XB)
That's a lot of Xbox 1 games. Translation: "She's going down! Send the dross with it!" ...

Now this here's a press release. UK online game rental company Gametart has randomly sampled 200 British women and decided to let the world know the ins and outs of their sexual appetites. To the point, they asked them how often they had sex, and if they regularly played video games.

Of our sample of 200 women, those who played video games on average had sex 4.3 times a week while those who didn't play games only had sex just 3.2 times a week.

A completely useless poll done for the purpose of advertising their site, of course. Do they take into account age? Looks? What was their definition of having sex? Rumble or no rumble? Most importantly, where is the photographic evidence?

Perhaps even more promising for gamers is the fact that many of the women that we interviewed who have only recently started playing games said that they now have sex more often than before.

As a wise doctor once said, "You are telling lies!" So what they are saying here is playing video games will enhance your sex life. Anyone else notice this particular phenomenon?

McBride, concerned parent, overbearing mother, and all-around crazy lady, just made a commentary on NPR. McBride is apparently regretting purchasing a Wii for her kids, saying that she's not satisfied they're off the couch and actually moving about, but that they should be outside actually doing the things they simulate in the games.

It's not enough that they're actually working up a sweat playing the Wii, oh no, she wants them to work up a sweat actually playing the sport.

She then proceeds to patronize her own children's new affinity for sports via Wii Sports. She mocks their sudden interest in these virtual sports and their so-called "exercise," despite the obvious physical benefits. She belittles their understanding of the real sports, only to widen her target to attack all the over-weight children of America and their newfound self-esteem before finally questioning whether or not these children will ever know the true sense of accomplishment that only reality can provide.
You go girl. Show those children who's boss. ...

EA's upcoming Godfather: Blackhand Edition for Wii will incorporate motion-sensing controls to let you hammer the faces of your enemies - or any random granny, if you're that way inclined - by swinging your fists with the Wii Remote in hand.

As you can see, graphically it look pretty much the same as the Xbox game, but we'll wait to see it running before we make any final judgements.

Nobody will be able to call the Wii a console for kids by the end of the year, with Godfather, Driver, Scarface AND Manhunt 2 all on the way.

It struck us as kind of weird when we first heard that publisher Sega had handed off its classic After Burner franchise to Planet Moon, the oddball developer behind Infected, Armed and Dangerous and Giants: Citizen Kabuto. And now we've seen the result of that decision: cow-themed jet fighters with giant, milk-spraying udders.

Granted, the cow jets are just part of After Burner: Black Falcon's "Mad Cow" deathmatch mode, in which one player becomes the Mad Cow (hence the new paintjob) and everyone else tries to kill him or her to become the next Mad Cow. The Mad Cow isn't completely defenseless, though, and can squirt gobs of milk backwards out of its udders, stopping any would-be pursuers dead in their tracks.

Or at least, that's how it's supposed to work - during our brief time trying to steer the cow-jet, our opponents repeatedly pulled behind us and shoved missile after missile up our exhaust despite our best efforts to splatter them. When we weren't getting blown to pieces, however, the jets handled smoothly, racing over the landscape, pulling off barrel rolls and weaving through caverns with ease.

Mad Cow won't be Black Falcon 's only multiplayer mode, but it's the only one we've been able to try out so far. However, we've gleaned that bizarre aerial deathmatches will be only the tip of Black Falcon 's multiplayer iceberg when the game hits in March. And while the four-player explodathons show a lot of promise, co-op is where the real action's at. ...
