Hi all,
Here is a new release of AFKIM (Away From the Keyboard Instant Messenger),
the instant messaging application for PSP written by Danzel !
(see http://localhost.geek.nz/)
This version fix several bugs due to changes in bitlbee messages and default settings.
Here is the change log :
- add simple splash screen and fix video black screen issue
- bug fix with latin characters (iso8859-1 characters are now
set by default in bitlbee configuration)
- fix in network name resolution (it hangs sometimes,
so back to original name resolution stuff)

Due to popular demand, psx4iphone is currently being worked on. Its next update will include firmware 1.1.3+ support, landscape and portrait support, as well as performance increases.
More news to come as things develop further.
snes4iphone will be getting sound and landscape performance increases shortly. gpSPhone will be getting an update that increases landscape performance as well.

Tyne has updated his Quake mod that works on Dreamcast and Xbox and i presume many more.
Stealth Quake v1.1 Patch Released
Extract and overwrite all the files in the /Stealth/ (or /StealthWQ) directory.

I've often been privy to conversations where people swear that the only good Wii game is a first party Nintendo game. While this might be true for some, there are plenty of other folks out there who enjoy a decent 3rd party game although admittedly the really good ones are few and far between.
The Video Game Blog has posted an interesting list of the third party Wii games that have sold over a million copies. Some of them are pretty obvious like Resident Evil 4 (1.6 million) and Guitar Hero III (1.8 million) while others were definitely a surprise (at least to me) like Carnival Games (1.2 million) and the top seller of all, Sonic and Mario at the Olympic Games (3.4 million). There are seven games total on the list including three that are getting pretty close to a million like RE: Umbrella Chronicles (900k) and LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga (900k).
While all the games on the list may not be your cup of tea, it certainly is interesting to see what sells on the little white console.

We've known about its existence for about a month, and now we get to know what cult classic Flash game Defend Your Castle will look like when it come to Nintendo's Wii Ware service. The answer, it turns out, is pretty freakin' cute.
Compared to the original Flash version, the Wii Ware Defend Your Castle sports a significant lack of blood, perhaps not surprising for the family-friendly system. What is pleasantly surprising is the new paper cutout aesthetic, which reminds us of a cross between Paper Mario and Pencil Whipped. We're also fond of the robust more robust animation, which doesn't miss a beat even when hundreds of stick figures storm the castle in the trailer's thrilling multiplayer co-op finale. We haven't seen such an effective mix of cuteness and carnage since the town's last kitten massacre

Oh yeah, we've seen homegrown Xbox 360 joysticks that we would love to wrap our digits around, but ShaolinDrunkard's latest creation is almost too pretty to touch -- almost. The Xbox 360 Classic Led joystick sports the prototypical stick / button layout, but also includes that iconic green swirl and a smattering of lovely LEDs to really get the oohs and ahhs flowing. The handmade oak chassis isn't too shabby, either, and as much as we'd love to see these being offered up to those with more dollars than creative genius, we've all ideas this is a one-of-a-kind.

hi, i'm writing to announce two things:
1. PSPSeq 2.11, a PSP homebrew application for writing music, is now available for download. PSPSeq contains a wide variety of audio synthesis, sample-playback, and FX modules along with a flexible step sequencer for creating loops and songs. the latest version contains both bug fixes and new features to enable you to more quickly and efficiently write music. this program, along with sample loops and songs, can be downloaded here:

2. the first release on the PSP-music netlabel Running Jump Records is available for download. the name of the EP is Moon Glider and it is recorded by HS, the founder of this netlabel. all songs were written completely within PSPSeq. mp3s and all source files necessary to recreate these songs (PSPSeq saved data and WAV files) are available and can be downloaded here:
