There's just nine days to go until Project Gotham Racing 4 emerges from the garage of Eurogamer's favourite Scousers, Bizarre Creations. In case you missed it, the Xbox 360-exclusive racer just scored a mighty 9 out of 10 in Tom's review. And to celebrate, Eurogamer TV is showcasing direct-feed footage of Mr. Bramwell's crazy skills in action.

The track in question is Instituto Politecnico, and despite dense fog, Tom hauled his supercar around for a flawless race. All of which he then saved and uploaded to Xbox Live using the nifty On Demand feature. The big show-off. Realistic weather effects, of course, are a major new feature of this second outing of the Gotham series on 360.

And there will be more gorgeous Gothamness elsewhere in the Eurogamer empire this week, with Eurogamer.de hosting a video of a flashy race around central London, while Eurogamer.fr takes a m0t0rb1k3 - all-new to PGR4, of course - for a spin around Shanghai. ...

    News/release from Theketchupman:

    Hi all,

    Recovery LE for 3.71 M33 v2

    What is it

It's a VSH plugin that allow you a lot of things (Configuration, Advanced, Plugins, CPU Speed, Registry Hacks, VSH Menu etc.).

    New in this version

    * 3.71 M33 v2 support (it should work on 3.71 M33 v1, but i advise you to use v2)
    * Brightness is saved, so when you shut down the PSP, when you put it on, it will put the same brightness
    * Autodetection of PSP type :
    - PSP Slim
    - PSP fat with kernel 1.5
    - PSP fat without kernel 1.5
If kernel 1.5 is detected, you can change on the fly the kernel from 1.5 & 3.71, and you can access to GAME150.txt plugin.
    * (Fat only) Pandora menu added under Extends (allow you to convert your battery to Normal / autoboot / pandora)
Warning : DO NOT USE SLIM BATTERY (that's why the Pandora Menu will only shows up on a Fat PSP)
    * Recovery config change
    * bug fix : CPU speed on screen wasn't good; it should be correct
    * (PSP Slim) since Dark_AleX's 3.71 M33 v2, DA has added charge via USB, so you can Enable/Disable it under Menu Advanced. However, it is not On the fly, so you need to reboot so the change can be set.

    Crédits :

Main part of this Recovery has been made by Team WildC*rd , i thank them her.
Thank also to Nem & cory149 for Pandora menu.

    Note before use this

to avoid freeze PSP, delete pConf.dat from flash1 before the first use.(if exists)

Then, buttons are : R+Note for menu, and L+Note for Screenshot

Last week, one of GameDaily BIZ's sources close to Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) informed us that there had recently been a "breach of security" in Sony's PlayStation Network (PSN). Our source indicated that one of SCEA's employees was actually tricked over the phone into giving out this important access to the network.

Kimberly Otzman, Corporate Communications, explained, "Just to clarify, there has been no hacking or electronic breach to any of SCEA's electronic security systems. An as-yet-unidentified PSN user impersonating an SCEA IT employee apparently called customer service agents in order to gain unauthorized access to two PSN user accounts not belonging to the imposter. The unauthorized accessing of the two accounts was discovered immediately after it took place, the unauthorized access was disabled, and the account-holders were notified."

Epic's VP Mark Rein has given an official response regarding the now possible Unreal Tournament 3 delay. You can read his response below:

"As a public company, Midway felt an obligation to its shareholders to let them know about the possibility of a delay. But our goal is still to get the PS3 version of UT3 in stores before the end of 2007. However, we will only ship it once it's ready and is the best game we can deliver. The PC version is still on track for a November release."

Sony Corp. will design chips with Infineon Technologies AG to reduce development costs at its consumer electronics division, the world's second largest.

Sony and Infineon's Qimonda AG will own equal stakes in a Tokyo-based venture that will design DRAM chips that speed up data processing in cameras and mobile phones, the companies said today in a statement. Elpida Memory Inc., a Sony supplier, fell on the Tokyo Stock Exchange on concern it will lose orders.

The agreement will help Tokyo-based Sony reduce costs as Chief Executive Officer Howard Stringer overhauls the chip operations to raise overall profitability to the highest this decade. The semiconductor unit, which makes processors for PlayStation 3 game consoles, posted a 10 billion yen ($86 million) loss last year.

Thanks to a helpful tipster, we have a couple of Best Buy documents showing a $399 Playstation 3 with 40GB disk and Spiderman 3 (yes, Blu-ray) bundle with an "In Stock Date" of October 28. However, the more important "Street Date" field is unfortunately empty at the moment. While the docs look legit and don't seem to be Photoshopped, they can still be faked easily enough. So we did a quick lookup on the UPC code and sure enough, while the details are masked, the manufacturer is listed as "Sony Computer Entertainment of America."

We love a good non-mystery around here, and Microsoft's new Zunes are about as un-mysterious as they get. But we also love a good product refresh, and now that the cat's officially out of the bag we can really dig into the new Zunes, which definitely have a lot going for them. There's plenty to cover, so here's what you need to know.

    Hard drive Zunes

It's called the Zune 80 and, shockingly enough, it has 80GB of storage.
Uses the new Zune Pad -- four way touch-sensitive d-pad (with up, down, left, and right buttons).
It will sell for $250 (with "premium" headphones).
Available only in black (to start).
Screen size has increased to 3.2-inches (from 3-inches). As far as we know the resolution is still QVGA.

    Dimensions are 61.1 x 108.2 x 12.9mm (2.4 x 4.25 x 0.5-inches), some 1/3rd smaller than the classic Zune.
The classic Zune will now be known as the Zune 30 -- it's not going anywhere. More on that in a sec.
    New flash Zunes

Zune 8 and Zune 4 are the names for the 8 and 4GB flash based models.
    Also uses the Zune Pad.
These will sell for $200 and $150 respectively.
Both will be available in pink, green, black, and red.
It will feature a 1.8-inch screen (compare to the nano's 2-inch screen).
    Dimensions are 41.4 x 91.5 x 8.5mm (1.6 x 3.6 x 0.33-inches) -- compare to the new iPod nano, at 69.8 x 52.3 x 6.5mm (2.75 x 2.0 x 0.26-inches).
    Everything else

New Zunes ship in November, date not yet announced.
All Zunes (including the Zune 30) will have a new, redesigned interface and feature parity. In other words, early Zune 30 adopters will have all the same software features as new Zune 80, 8, and 4 users.
Additional native video codecs for h.264 and MPEG-4 -- users no longer need transcode those file types to WMV.
Zune can FINALLY sync video from your Media Center PC! Jeez, took you friggin long enough, guys!
WiFi sync to host computer! Includes moving over music, movies, photos, podcasts, etc.

Podcast support! (Sorry, no over the air downloads -- sync only.) Podcasts can also be shared via WiFi.
The 3x3 song sharing DRM has had its three day restriction removed, but users can still only play files three times.
There is still NO wireless music store.
The Zune software is all new and rewritten, and is supposed to actually be more than a rebadge of WMP10 now. Friggin finally.
The Zune music store is going DRM-free, with over 1m MP3 tracks being made available for download. Other details (like which labels, whether there is a DRM-free upgrade path is for users who've bought music with DRM, price differences, etc.) are not yet revealed. ...

    News from StoneCut

    iR Shell 3.7
This release mainly adds support for M33 3.71 CFW for PSP Phat with a few other enhancements.

    New Features:

Added support for M33 3.71 CFW for PSP Phat.
Screen redirection via Tyranid's remotejoy. UMD Game compatibility has also been enhanced and save/load dialog boxes will no longer crash. Thanks to Tyranid for making this possible.
2 Player PSOne games via usbhostfs/nethostfs keypad direction using 2 PC joysticks/keyboard. Screen redirection via remotejoy is also supported for PSone games.
Support for M33 popsloader when iR Shell running under M33 3.52 CFW. Only the latest verion popsloader is supported (that is, the one for pops from 3.00 to 3.52). All other previous versions of popsloader won't work with iR Shell. If you're running iR Shell under M33 3.71, the "POP Version" setting in iR Configurator is ignored. This is due to popsloader currently doesn't work with M33 3.71 due to changing NIDs by Sony.
Support for M33 UMD Video ISO feature under iR Shell File Browser. This will also work with USBHostFS & NETHostFS. Again, for legally owned backups only.
The number of iR Shell EBOOTs for various firmwares have been consolidated into just 2. One for firmware 1.5, and the other for firmware 2.x/3.x. This should make it earier for users.
A new autoboot seplugin is introduced to replace the old "irsfw30x.prx". This plugin will work under all firmware versions, including 3.71.
NOTE: The PSX 2 Player Adhoc is still in alpha & very unstable. It will not be included in this release.

    Special Thanks to:

Dark_AleX/Team M33 for bringing us the incredible custom firmware. Our PSPs won't be the same without this masterpiece.
Tyranid and other developers in ps2dev.org for creating the pspsdk. Without their contributions, we don't even have homebrews on PSP.
All iR Shell beta testers, donators, skins & plugin contributors.
StoneCut, F34R and other moderators who keep irshell.org running and providing technical support to the community.

I'm bored. How about the rest of you?

Sad this site is nothing more then just spam now a days.

As for my progress, I still busy with work. Recently I got a spurt of free time atm since my gf is super busy with school and now has her own laptop, which means I now can hog the main pc at night. YAY!!

I've been doing a little coding on the side over the past few months. I've been building a nice little puzzle game that is sadly on hold since I lost two artist so far. Hopefuly I can find another because I would heavly like to see this game get published or atleast posted on PSN.

I've also on the side been trying to help a few coders out but I sadly have zero faith in it amounting to anything (I have low faith due to nothing amounting from my previous assistance twards people).

Well thats roughly it bar from a few things i'm keeping secret.

So whats everybody else doing (providing someone actualy still checks this site/forum). ...
