I haven't personally had any experience with it, but I hear good things. It is 100 U.S dollars. I honestly have no idea how to install it as I don't want to mess around with that kind of stuff, but I believe any sodering to the motherboard is dangerous and hard.
It was damn hard to install I heard and that it requires much care and expertise.
ugh i think i may be better off waiting for a 2.8 downgrader
Indeed you probaly are.
it costs like the same as a new psp because u have to have excelent soldering skills and a microscope...psphacking 101 lol they had an episode on it i havent messed with it personally but i know its a pain
You could sell your current psp and buy another one without TA-082 and 1 you can downgrade
1) No it does not cost as much as a new psp!
2) I would buy it from the Store of Modchips ;)
3) Unless you are good at soldering yes you should wait for downgrader.
4) YES IT IS BLOODY HARD!! (i may or may not have done it ;)
you can pay 200 $ and send it to the modchip store and they wi ll install it
im thinking of trading with someone. and my psp is not a ta-082. but is anyone working on a downgrader for the 2.8
A downgrader can come at any time really i heard someone working on a 2.80 downgrader saying it was going to be released on the 14th on november dont know if that was true though
i hope its true...im tired of being left out of emulators and homebrew. and i cant earn much money when im only 14 lol
Well you could just sell your current psp and get a new one online i got my new psp online with 2.0 firmware
What i did to buy my first psp i had no money i had a look around my house and i sold a few bits and i managed to get my first psp
Have a look here

So. . .does anyone have any idea how this might compare to installing a mod chip in your xbox? I've done that one a few times successfully (not the no-solder modchip). If it's comparable to that, I guess I'd feel pretty comfortable installing it in my PSP. Additionally. . .aren't the UP modchips incompatible with the TA-082 boards anyways?
