now we actually have a real matchup... this one is difficult. I am going to have to say HOD2 simply because it brings the arcade version home so well.
this one really is a good matchup.
This time is hard. I have voted for Soul Calibur because is the best 3D fighting game of the actual consoles (that includes Tekken5 for me, wich I also have)...well SC2 is perhaps better ;-)
SC for me! One of the best fighting games I've ever played. Loads to do, lots of depth and long after pub sessions. Wonderful feeling when you get 'in the zone' with it and everything starts falling together.
Both are good, but I never liked Soul Calibur that much, i've never really liked any 3D beat 'em ups, one vote for HoD2
Soul Calibur is a great game, but House of the Dead 2 might possibly be my absolute favorite commercial DC game. Another vote for HOD2.

Heathens! The both of you :P
I'm surpise you never really like SC much Ptr, especially as you like your 2D fighters. Or is that why?
I do like HOD2 a lot and it's one of the first DC games that made me grin, but it's a bit limited in my opinion and the mini games are better in Confidential Mission (I like the one with the revolving panels). It's great fun, but my arm hurts after a while (what can I say, I'm a weakling).
Anyone tried Death Crimson OX? What's it like?
HoD2 like most light gun games has very shallow gameplay, its got a short lifespan but is still better than SC.
I do like 3D fighters but not much, i don't know why i just much prefer 2D.
I like the nostalgia from 2D games, especially the Street Fighter games but I think Soul Calibur really is a top notch game, one of DC's best in my opinion.
Shame Namco didn't really do much more for DC. It would have been nice to have seen Tekken (other than the Bleemcast one).
