Gizmondo launch set for October 22

We have to admit that, over the past several decades we’ve been waiting for it, our enthusiasm for the Gizmondo has seriously cooled. So forgive us if we don’t foam at the mouth over Tiger Telematics’ announcement that the handheld gaming console will finally be released in the U.S. on October 22. Sure, we’d still like to take it for a spin. But let’s just say that the launch is unlikely to result in PSP-style pandemonium.

the only place in the usa thats going to sell it is eb games as far as i know. and when i asked the guy at my local eb about the gizmondo he said that there store wasnt going to sell it there but some of there other stores might carry it doesnt sound good if all there store arent going to sell it wtf is that not even out yet and they cant get anybody to stock it in all of there stores they coudnt even get gamestop to sell it just sad. add it to the list

update i just checked ebs web site the gizmondo is no longer listed there so who knows who the hell is going to sell it in the states 16 days from the 22nd and nobody knows were they are going to sell it

EB still has a Gizmondo section on their site, but they list the release date for the system and the games as January 31, 2006. Strange...
