I will believe it when I see it. Kinda boring talking about this great powers no one is yet to see. Lol.
The PlayStation 3 has churned out some great-looking games, but Naughty Dog co-lead designer Richard Lemarchand says Sony's Edge toolset will unlock the true potential of the Cell processor.
"There's a set of tools called Edge that were developed on the Naughty Dog premises, actually, by a group of very, very senior games programmer, some from Naughty Dog and some from elsewhere," Lemarchand told ThreeSpeech.
"...That's why we think we're probably only using 30 or 40 percent of the power of the PS3 right now, and there's this great, untapped potential."
Lemarchand called the tools "low-level libraries" and said they are available for free to third-party developers.

I hope that actually is true and it can be pushed a lot more![]()
Same old, It 'could' do this, but we aint going to show you.
We dont care what anyone thinks, we just need results.
PSN (PS3/PS4/Vita)/NintendoID - Triv1umx
Steam - Rjinswand
Runescape - Rjinswand
Me too. I will not believe that until I see results.
New screenshots from the Quantic Dream game under development, Heavy Rain, seem to show a great potentiality of using much of the PS3 hardware.
I'm very excited about this game.

looks nice, lets just hope they are not screen grabs from the cinematics
Quantic Dream made Omikron the Nomad soul, One of my all time fave games, got really high hopes for this one, looks amazing, they had a tech demo in E3 couple years ago supposed to be the ingame engine.
