there is a major flaw with jap psp's as wen i went to buy one in croydon (LOL) i was told the only drawback is that if it is faulty that i would have to send it to sony entertainment of JAPAN LOL i quickly put my £250 of crisp notes back in my pocket and resumed the glum look on my face until the psp was launched in the uk.

I hate to say it, but I agree with you. I have an XB360 preordered, and for the first time last night, I played the XB360 at EB (CoD2) and I was somewhat underwhelmed.

It has nice graphics, yes, but not a huge step up. Well, not as big I was expecting. Of course, I have a decent PC with a fairly new vidcard. But all the kids watching me play were ooing and ahhing at the graphics. And I'm thinking, "have you guys not played Half-Life 2 yet or something?"

CoD2 just seemed like the same kind of game we've played a dozen times on the old gen. Honestly, my impression was, "Is this all the next gen is going to give us. The same games with somewhat better graphics?" If so, then the next gen is gonna suck big time.

I think Nintendo has the right idea. There has to be something new. Im not sure if the wand controller is it, but I'm glad they're trying something. I think a lot of people are starting to figure out that the DS is the real deal, so I'm inclined to trust that Nintendo knows what they're doing. But time will tell.

All I know is that the XB360 didn't impress me. But the masses are massively stupid, so I'm sure it'll be a big hit. People already complaining of endless sequels and rehashes on the current generation are about to get another five-year dose of the same. Unless Nintendo manages to save us.

That said, I'm going to keep my preorder. I have a deal with a friend. I'll get a XB360. He'll get a PS3. That way, we both have access to the two systems. We're both getting the Revolution though. It might be this generation's only hope.

launch titles are always rushed to market, I remember buying my ps2 and nba live 2001 and needles to say I was very dissapointed since graphicaly it was on par with the ps1 and played even worse. Fast-forward to 05 and needless to say things have changed indeed.

    Please bear in mind....
launch titles are always rushed to market
It will take months to get games truely written for any new console... ... ... patience is a virtue, even if it does suck
