Default Any chance of Online play ever again?

I have no idea what it takes to set up, but I am wondering why no one has set up new software/servers so that those of us in the dreamcast community would be able to go online once again and play head-to-head games. Is it a software licensing issue or a coding or hardware issue?

i would say both, but there is a free PSO server made by fans and i think some also got quake3 working.

quake3 works without modification with the pc version as far as i know. you just have to use the same maps.

Check out www.onlineconsoles.com they have a dedicated dreamcast section with PSO, Starlancer, Ferrari F355 and Q3A servers and maybe something more I can't remember.

Anyways they're working real hard to keep the Dreamcast online...
