Holger Eilts has made a version with better menu layout, alternative USB keyboard support, screenshots and the ability to load files within D64s directly. I'm working on integrating it in the trunk, but for now you can test it here:
It's based on v8 and therefore does not have network support.

I'm glad that this is out, and am thankful to the developers. But I really wish for a transparent IR on screen keyboard that you could bring up by holding a button like WiiQuake has. As it is now, it's like if someone released frodo on the DS, but didn't allow you to use the touch screen as a keyboard, instead forcing you to enter a menu then type using the Dpad.
