As for home console I think I'll go with the original Xbox (but I never had one)

On the handheld side I'll go with the psp because I can play most of the games I like and the control scheme is pretty close to a snes controller

    Xbox and PSP.

So far, ZSnexbox has run everything I've played on it fullspeed. One issue that I did find though was that the graphics flicker in Starfox 2 making it unplayable.

    Otherwise, it's excellent.

for the console side i would have to go for the wii, and i'll tell you why. Earthworm jim 2 has the freaking sound effects!! if my xbox gave earthworm jim 2 sfx that would win. On the handheld side i would go with the PSP, because it runs good, and has the PERFECT screen.

Since i have tested just about every possible system known to SNES emulation like Dreamcast,Xbox,PC (non console),NDS and PSP. I know my personal fav for SNES emulation and i know others would possibly agree even if they havent tried yet. I will say i have not tested the Wii version and i havent tested some other consoles out either but i think out of the most consoles i have tested SNES emulation these are the ones that matter. For the Dreamcast i will rate this system being better then the NDS and if i remember correctly PSP didnt play it all that great a couple years back. I also cant remember what emulators i used except DreamSNES for Dreamcast and i believe SNESx9 for Xbox.

Dreamcast was okay some games were fullspeed but in that standard maybe a little to fast aswell and those games were the ones that didnt use Mode 7 or transparency and of course if you turned the Sound off that really up'ed the speed.

Nintendo DS was pretty good on speed for what i tested but the graphics of course is the reason why it was fast. By that i mean there was missing graphics and thats not the coders fault more the systems fault then anything. The reason is that the screen is small so somehow the sprites needed to be resized and refitted for the resolution in which caused a big mess for a majority of games. I found with sound though this emulator was decent and played quite fast but again that could be do to the graphics being missplaced. It was only better then the Dreamcast for the sound but if you want playability with graphics then the Dreamcast was the way to go.

PSP i tested only once this was way back and i say at the time this system was worse then the Dreamcast if i can remember correctly. The one game i tested was Smash TV one of my all time favs for the good SNES. If i remember correctly the game didnt run fullspeed and thats quite sad when on the Dreamcast that game ran at a good frame rate and i could be wrong.

I think i will put this in the same category as the PC as another person has in this topic. The Xbox of course this system was ultimately amazing for its modding abilities and sad today that its not running as strong as the PSP,Wii, or even Dreamcast. But when i soft modded my Xbox way back one reason was to get SNES running on it and that was because the Dreamcast couldnt handle the emulation. So i tested one of my fav games Donkey Kong Country and that game ran as it normally would for the actual SNES system. By far if you want to play the SNES and want to feel like a kid again then use the Xbox or you can use the PC minus not using the TV in which doesnt really make me feel like a child cause its a computer.

I also heard there was one other system that played SNES quite well. Im putting this here cause its handheld and if you want to take your games on the road then the old GP32 was the way to go. I havent tested it out on there and the system is either quite hard to come by or there is handheld systems that can play SNES better so go with your gut and choose wisely.
