The PSPgo and DSi are overpriced, but they still sell the cheaper PSP-3000 and DS Lite (I'd prefer both of these over the new models).

Come on guys you can't compare the PSPgo to an iphone, it doesn't have a phone besides skype. Sure they both can play games, do music, watch movies etc. but the iphone is a phone and PSPgo is not. You would have to compare it to the ipod touch only and even then the PSPgo has no touch screen or motion pack. To be fair the ipod touch is more like an NDS Lite or NDSi than a PSPgo. I have Tony Hawk with the motion pack on my NDS Lite and it has a touch screen. Pretty fun stuff but this still won't make me go out and buy an ipod touch or an iphone. If you want a good deal you can get refurbished/used PSP 1000 or 2000 all over the states for $119 or less and refurbished/used DS Lites for $89. Besides even the new PSP 3000 and NDS Lite and NDSi are less brand new than the PSPgo. So forget comparing these handhelds to the iphone, they are not intened to be the same product although they have some of the same features.
Even manufacturers admit price depends on what each economy is willing to pay for that type of product, so they ration prices where obviously the UK and other countries pay more so others only pay what they can afford, right now we pay around 60% more with a direct dollar exchange and our extra taxes don't get close to that, and last year we payed 100% more than US.
