Yeah! Silent hill and Resident evil 1 and 2, they had to be the first real horror games to create an effect no? (maybe because younger) nothing scares me now, NOTHING! throw any horror at me (because now im sick in the mind muhahahahaaaaaaaa!) lol jk

shadowgate for the original NES as a kid, Doom 3 when it first came out was scary for its time. resident evil series.

first one that freaked me out as a kid waszombies ate my neighbors:

never played it again.
then resident evil 1 and 2 were scary as time goes by and i grew older.
from then silent hill series was the most terrifying yet..

Aside of Barny for the Genesis, the original OLD SCHOOL Alone in the Dark before it got modernized. Along side of that I'd say The Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth.
