sorry posted in the wrong forum :-[
quarn has been doing a bit of research on how bumpmapping works on the DC, and he has posted his finding over at boob! [br][br]I decided that it was time to figure out how the bumpmapping works on the dreamcast. Remembering that there was a maple bus patent available, I could quickly search and find another patent describing how the bumpmapping used by the pvr2dc is used. For your convenience I have compiled a pdf, created a tool for creating bumpmaps, and also made an example showing how to use bumpmapping with kos.[br][br]Enjoy! =)

Can this boost DC's homebrew graphics?
Hi.
josemci no, Bumpmapping is just a Texture effect that DC does by HW.

But indirectly it will boost the gfx, right? If people learn to use it there is a new possibility to make game better-looking...
