They already have a real one, its just not very fast and may have other problems. He isn't enabling it because it kills the speed of the emulator. Also, many games have working CD sound without it.

not a thing. just felt like it should be mentioned.

I think NG\DC is fast enough why not work on a sound core, all it really needs is some SFX, everything else about the emu is optimized. Full speed is nice and we already have it. it just needs a tweeked Z80 core that runs without slow speed and messed up sound, I hope it happends soon, but my two cents never matters to anyone here cuz all I get is smart ass remarks.

It's no wonder when you act like that all the time. FYI someone already is working on a new Z80 core.

Yea, stef has been working on one.

EDIT: since this is on a new page and i didnt quote the previous message i thought it would be nice to clarify what i meant.

Yes, there is a new Z80 core being worked on. Stef D. has been working on it for some time, and it should give some speedup, which is all many projects need to be fullspeed.

(one example would be SMS, which is almost there but cant quite get fullspeed with full FM emulation)

not to get off topic, but SMS emulation does not exist on the dreamcast at full speed with FM sound.

I think the point DemoniusX was trying to make is we worry about perfecting emulators are perfectly good enough such a SMS instead of worrying about "more important things"
