does WoW count since I have had a sub for it for 5 years?
as really other than MMO's your looking at special editions/rock band and that would only be about £100 for the Beatles rock band full set.
=\

edit: oh wait!, reading Da_ALC's post I just remembered I bought my new 42" VIZIO HDTV just to play GOW 3 on a big screen, so add $12,000 mxn, around $960 usd

Quake 3 cost me a brand new PC just to be able to play it, and that was the ONLY reason I scrapped my old one and bought a new one at the time. I got the game on day of release and didnt have a PC to play it on till about a month after.
Chrono Trigger and E.V.O - Search for Eden stick out the most in my mind.
Well I pre-ordered it so far but when it is released on September 14th, Halo: REACH Legendary Edition will be the most expensive game I've purchased at $149.99... yikes!
In 2nd place, it was the Halo 3: Legendary Edition w/ Spartan Helmet which was $129.99...
In 3rd place, I'm with mike_jmg with the God of War III: Ultimate Edition set which cost me $99.99

Hello:
Back in 2000, a small developer called SCATOlogic realeased a game for Atari Jaguar. Its name is Battlesphere. It took me a year and a half to get a copy. Cost me $200. This one is the highest I ever paid for a game. The game has been published by the developer's old name 4PLAY.
