I have tried to use several versions of goodnes and romworld to no avail, I can't seem to understand how it works. It can find my rom files and then when I command it to rename it doesn't do anything, or it says it outputs a file that I can never find, Help on this would be appreciated, but atleast there is promise and I am willing to learn.

are you useing the dos version or the windows version? Â*if possible use the windows. Â*the GUI is much easier to deal with. Â*and select your directories somewhere in the options and put goodnes in the right spot. believe me it's worth it. especially when it comes to trying to find out which version you have of translated japanese game. Â*very handy. and if you have a correct checksum and dumpsize as well as knowing which cheat codes to use, as they change with each version(i.e. FF6)

oh and if I could get an admin to okay talk about fansubs--- for educational purposes.

(re)translations of Japanese games is one of the things that makes me love emulation in general. I think it's good to talk about translations by independent groups, as it advertises their hard work.
