General games Japan Hardware Sales for 24th-30th July

Will the charts show anything different from the fact that the DS Lite sells more than the others combined, lets see:

    - DS Lite: 176,853
    - PSP: 42,604
    - PS2: 26,451
    - Xbox 360: 2,246
    - GBA SP: 2,229
    - Game Boy Micro: 1,766
    - DS Phat: 1,530
    - Gamecube: 1,039
    - Xbox: 11
    - GBA: 9

The DS Lite conquers all as usual, makes you wonder what the Wii and PS3 will do to sales over there.

I am constantly blown away by how many DS Lites are sold. That many people can't be wrong. I will be getting myself a DS Lite.

However, nothing will ever replace my PSP. Looks like the PSP is doing quite all right.

Xbox 360 in Japan is a bit of a joke at this stage isn't it?. Still, I don't think there are really any compelling games from a japanese game players perspective that would make them want to buy it just yet. For the japanese it's all about the games, not the technology.

    Hello:

On past news, a spokeperson in the gaming industry stated that Microsoft "must retire" from the Japan market. The new numbers of this month are proving the opposite.

Japanese developers are supporting the 360 with more games. the ones available during this period prove it. If those numbers keeps up during the remaining of the year, MS has a chance to really compete with Japan giants Sony and Nintendo.

Let's see what happen before November and jugde yourselves.
