Default How to convert DVDs to PSP! FOR FREE!!!!!!!

    Hi all,

after getting my PSP on XMas day from a freindly chap from north london, I spent the whole of the xmas break trying to find an alternative to Sony's "Image Converter 2.1" which does not seem to be available from anywhere but Sony Japan!

This link popped up in google, which seems to work a treat, using a 512mb Memory Stick Duo! A 2 hour movie converts down to approx 300mb at very good quality using the setting "QB4" in the program mentioned on the link (may I add this is a free download)!

if you "rip" a dvd, and merge the vobs created you will be able to create 1 movie file rather then a few little files, this program encodes on a file by file basis, even if you add three files at once.

Any problems you can PM me and i will try to help as much as i can!

    Amz

I hope you all enjoy this, as its my first post, lets call it a late xmas pressie!

just a little side note, what you can do is locate where the resolution size is in the proper .ini file and change it to the proper resolution, and it should look even better than the presets

Here's my guide, which offers two ways of doing it, using free programs, or using Sony's image converter 2 software (with links to download it).

To rip a DVd to divx first though, use the program DVDx 2.3 - just pop in the dvd, hit go, and a few hours later (depending on your system seped) you have the file ready to convert for the PSP .

Edit: And also, please join our forum (where my guide is), it's growing quickly and we have lots of cool stuff in there ^^. Check it out! Enjoy your new PSP's guys .
