well i know im going to get smack around for saying this but Halo 1 and only 1 when it first came out had the best times in any video game to date multiplayer lan parties through xbconnect with my cousins against alot of people before xbox live started and talking about single player best AI when it first came out was very fun to play many times but what made it hot was the co op mode good times good times and yes i play unreal tournament and half life but i was always alone with those games and just playing online wasnt the same as halo on xbconnect so yea the original game only.

well i say when you say halo is not great and then bring up half life its just fanboy talk all over you can never say something is fanboy and the other is not it just wont happen like i said i found more enjoyment in Halo 1 than Halo 2 many times and im talking about before it got destroyed with all the lil rugrats who cheat for ranks. simply was that it was noobified just for the kiddies to have fun online but halo 1 was harder and enjoyable when you get the hang of it.

    Default my vote(s)

Marathon 1, 2, Infinity - the Doom killers, surprised not a single person mentioned it yet. Better story, dual weapons, the Halo of 1995, plus it is also now open source (can't believe no one has messed with this more on port overs to different systems).

Unreal Championship 2 - melee, guns, fatalities (thanks to MK, Raiden in a fps, sweet), and crazy multiplayer. Too bad bombing run didn't make it into the game, that was possibly the best part of the first one, plus, it looks great.

Duke Nukem 3d - "I don't have time to play with myself", this game was a step further into our modern fps's. It also had some cool items: the jetpack, the HoloDuke, the devestator, the freeze cannon. Multiplayer was crazy too.

I'd have to say Halo 2. I still play it just as much now as when it came out years ago. Has the most replay value of ANY fps I've ever played.

Half-life 2 is also awesome, and has the best modding community so there's always something new to try (G-Mod will live forever on my HDD), but in regards to its singleplayer: it's great, but there's no real incentive to play through it again.

Oh, and the most fun I've ever had from a game is co-op on Halo 2. Any PC gamer out there who doesn't have an xbox, get it next year on PC. Play it and love it.
