some of the readme.txt are off a bit. Disregaurd the HENB in the readme.Originally Posted by Dark_Knight
The XMB is what Sony calls their Shell. In other words the side scroll icon bar you pickk all your crap from...yeah that thing.
Now...
When you ran HENC the first time....did you get a green or red screen after the blue one?
The downgrader will not even attempt to run if henc isnt flashed. and running. YOu have to run Henc at least twice before you run the downgrader.
ANd if it is flashed and you just werent paying attention durring the green screen then its possible you didnt rerun henc after the reboot and before the downgrade program.
And if its none of those then you didnt rename the eboot.pbp of the firmware to update.pbp and or have it in the wrong place.

if your system is flashed then it should only softboot back after the blue screen. At this point you run the update.pbp
I've heard this can take a few tries. I on the other hand got it first attempt...yeah lucky me I know![]()
yea ive been trying againOriginally Posted by chiefy
but it freezes on the blue then turns off
then if i turn it on, the sony blah blah thing comes on and the little sound

When you select it under the game menu is it a reddish box? FOr me it was and it said z.yx or something like that.
ok lets say the drive you click for your psp is (K...like mine is.
then it should be
K:/
psp
game
UPDATE
rename the firmware eboot to UPDATE.pbp before placing it into the Update folder...there already is an eboot.pbp in that folder and you dont want to replace it.
That could be your problem aswell
*EDIT*
ok if you have to turn it back on yourself then you must run HENC again and get the blue screen...let it reset itself then run the downgrader. If that doesnt work you may have to run the HENC until you see the green scree. If its freezing on you then its not working correctly...keep trying
i have the downgrade part done
but i dont think my psp flashed yet
cuz it doesnt softboot, after the blue screen freezes
and i keep doing it and i dont see green or red screens
EDIT
yea it still turns off at the blue
and i have to keep turning it on
i guess i will keep trying it until it works
thanks
No more questions from anybody?
Yall musta figured it out
Sweet!
i successfully installed the HEN-C.....did a test run homebrew (cube) on my 2.71 and is able to run it. However, when running this updater, i can't.....
i did everything as instructed, renamed the EBOOT.PBP to UPDATE.PBP and copy it to the UPDATE FOLDER.
however whenever i run the PSP UPDATE Ver X.YZ, my psp will just reboot and nothing happens at all. No flash all anything.
Note that the HEN-C is WORKING on my PSP and my psp is not a TA-082. What gives? Tried it for a long time and all this downdater did is reboot my psp, no flashing, no nothing...
well from what you said you've done everything correctly. I suggest to keep trying until it works. Aint gunna hurt none if it only shuts off. Keep trying if you really want to be 1.5Originally Posted by lordlad
I promise you this works. I waited and waited cuz I was nervous to downgrade then this came along and I figured its now or never.
I just Downgraded from 2.71 to 1.50 and everything worked perfectly the first time.
Thanks every one who made this downgrader it owns!
and thanks chiefy your instructions where very helpful.
Now i still want to play my umd's such as tekken an soccom, so would my best option be to use Dark Alex's custom firmware 2.71SP-A or to use devhook? Thanks
