DVD/CD help!!!!

i downloaded c64 emulator for ps2. and when i click on create data cd and put all files there everything works great. but when i burn it on DVD the game wont load, what should i do so the game is loaded from DVD?
can a game from cd be translated to DVD?

im pretty sure you cant do this!! i read on another forum if its cdr based then it needs to go onto a cdr ect please let me know if im wrong

i havent tried this, but it SHOULD work, at least in therory...there's some stuff in some of the files that tells the ps2 that it should load from cd-r, but there is a utility called dvdscan which is used for changing the boot code of a disc to dvd booting instead of cd booting....like i said, i havent tried it yet, so i dunno if it will work....my idea would be to take your non working disc and turn it to .iso with alcohol 120 or dvd decryptor then load the iso into dvdscan and try and patch and reburn.........
