    Default SDL for PS2

I wonder if anyones considering a port of SDL over to the PS2, it would open many new doors for the PS2 scene??

    Hi wraggster,

of course having SDL on the ps2 would definitively open many doors... I think most of the people is waiting for it, as it allows to quickly make some port without requiring good knowledge of the beast.

anyway the SDL library port is in progress (even if we don't have any news for a few weeks now), check that thread :

I have the ps2 dev setup was thinking about it as well but my ps2 is not as robust as the dreamcast and i dont feel like damaging it reading lots of cd's. I did get a few things running on the ps2. But the need to swap and the need for a mod chip is why i never make any thing for the ps2. I say thats the biggest problem.

Dreamcast is easy to program ive looked at a few ps2 ports and it looks not that hard to convert or port things from both machines.
