Not trying to scare you off, just saying that there's little use in sitting around complaining about the issue. The sources are indeed available, so you are welcome to try to tackle the issue.
Programmers spend a lot of time and hard work making programs for people, and when users are unappreciative and demanding it only makes them more unwilling to work. That's why many people in the open-source community have adopted the idea of "if you don't like it, fix it yourself." This is unfortunate, as it's a rather rude philosophy, but it happens nonetheless. Don't take it personally Johnny.
