I own a USA PSP Version 1.50, no homebrew for me haha.
But mark my words, I will never upgrade my firmware unless a newer one allows homebrew code to execute without being encrypted. Since that will never happen, I doubt I will ever upgrade.

i have the jap version and it came with 1.5 already on it, and didn't notice it was jap till today when i got a region 1 hell boy for it (what a $#@! lol)

no after i got the film today i checked on the box and it has got region 1 on it so it makes no sense at all

That just sounds like maybe you got a bad umd or did it clearly say wrong region?

Check if its Jap by looking at the serial number.. if it end PSP1000 its Jap if it ends PSP1001 it's US..

it did say wrong region and the serial is 1000

but on the box it has got region 1 and even on the order from lik-sang it states us psp
so it's got mixed up somewhere along the line, i'll just have to wait till someone finds a region hack for it lol
